Brown’s tour hit Houston Thursday night and after the show, the singer and his crew had an afterparty at Groove’s Restaurant and Lounge. That’s where things hit a sour note for Brown, as BOSSIP can exclusively confirm that Brown was finally served with the legal documents from Karrueche’s restraining order. BOSSIP witnesses at the scene tells us the singer was not pleased that his legal issues have finally caught up with him. “He was pissed,” a clubgoer who saw Brown react to being met outside the club by the server tol BOSSIP. Rumors are circulating that Nicki Minaj got snubbed on the Met Gala carpet by photographers as soon as Rihanna entered. The rapper couldn’t get anyone to care enough to want to take her picture after Rih’s entrance. She had to resort to jumping into photos with other, bigger, relevant celebrities to get her photo op. Barack Obama Proposed To A White Woman Twice Before Michelle As iconic as Barack and Michelle Obama’s relationship is …a new book is claiming that it’s a union that was thisclose to never even occurring. According to Washington Post , a new biography is hitting the shelves that details Barack Obama’s drive and ambition before he began running for public office, and the long-term romance with a white woman that suffered because of it. The new novel, “Rising Star” by David J. Garrow — the same biographer who won a Pulitzer prize for his biography on Martin Luther King — paints a picture of Barack as a man who made many sacrifices to get where he ultimately landed. One of which, his long term serious relationship with a Caucasian woman. Garrow reveals the story of Barack’s relationship with Sheila Miyoshi Jager for the first time. Sheila and Barack lived together in Chicago in the years before he met Michelle, and asked her to marry him on two different occasions before the couple broke up for good — specifically because Barack knew that he needed to identify as a fully Black man, and having a white spouse would hurt his political prospects. Obama believed that he had a “calling,” Garrow writes, and in his case it was “coupled with a heightened awareness that to pursue it he had to fully identify as African American.” A close mutual friend of the couple recalls Obama explaining that “the lines are very clearly drawn. . . . If I am going out with a white woman, I have no standing here.” Hmmm. Congresswoman Maxine Waters Talks About Why She’s Dedicated To Trump’s Impeachment Clap it up for Congresswoman Maxine Waters. The 78-year-old politician continues to speak out publicly against Donald Trump and a new Washington Post article hones in on her newfound status amongst millenials who are just as determined to see him impeached. The outlet details a recent open mic appearance Waters made at Busboys & Poets in D.C. where she spoke fervently against Trump: “Donald Trump is someone that found his way to the presidency of the United States of America — I still don’t know how,” she said, drawing boos at the mention of the president’s name. “But he’s someone that I’m committed to getting impeached!” “He’s a liar! He’s a cheat! He’s a con man!” she said, each declaration punctuated by cheers. “We’ve got to stop his a$$!” “I’ve been criticized because people said, ‘Oh, you shouldn’t use the impeachment word.’ But I have a deep and strong feeling about what I’m hearing and what I’m seeing and what I’m learning,” Waters said in an interview with The Washington Post. “This involvement with so many of the people in his Cabinet with the Kremlin, with Putin . . . worries me and it bothers me,” she said. It bothers us too! Unfortunately it seems we have yet to reach our breaking point, both publicly or within the branches of government. Trump’s camp a;sp continues to be unfazed by Waters determination: Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House principal deputy press secretary, said of Waters: “Her calls for impeachment are baseless and ridiculous.” Be careful what you say about Rep. Rocko Asks Judge To Set Aside Future’s Tour Earnings Rocko isn’t quite sure that Future won’t eff up the commas he owes him after raking in the cash from his latest tour…so he’s asking a judge to hold his money to the side. If you’ll recall, Rocko filed a $10 million lawsuit against Future for breach of their old contract…and won. Now, Future has a multi-city tour on the way that he’s set to make roughly $5 million from. But Rocko thinks that Future is reckless with cash…and alleges that he’ll be too busy blowing his money on Gucci belts, strippers, and child support payments to make good on the debt he legally owes. According to TMZ , Rocko is asking the judge to set aside some of Future’s “Nobody’s Safe” tour cash in escrow, just to be sure that he can come through with the cash he’s owed.
