New 360 Slim Leaked, Natal Gets A Proper Name

Project Natal is now called Kinect: We're hearing that Microsoft's motion-sensing Project Natal add-on for the Xbox 360 will be officially renamed Kinect. While it's possible that the news won't hit until tomorrow, our money is on the name popping up tonight during Microsoft's big show. There is a trademark for the term filed by Microsoft in late April for “computer software, computer hardware, and computer peripherals.” The term Kinect appears in an Italian Xbox ad, and while it could refer to something other than the bound-to-be-renamed Project Natal, the prominence in the ad suggests it is the new name for the new Xbox hands-free control system. Microsoft to unveil a smaller black Xbox 360 this week: Not only have a number of our sources been telling us that a mini-Xbox 360 is coming, but now ads for the device appear to be popping up on some international sites. The ads say it is compatible with “Kinect” and that it sports a 250GB harddrive. (The ad had been running on this Italian site, linking to the official Xbox Italy webpage, but it was pulled a few minutes after this posted was published.) added by: ThQp

With a 49-year Stanley Cup drought finally over, the City of Chicago estimated over 2 million ecstatic Blackhawks fans basked in the glory of the hockey championship today, creating a sea of humanity for a championship parade and rally that filled Michigan Avenue for blocks. “It’s been a long time between drinks,” team owner Rocky Wirtz told the assembled mass jamming Michigan, just south of the Chicago River. “From our family, the Wirtz family . . . thank you from the bottom of our heart We’ll see you again.” Chicago Blackhawks' Patrick Kane rides in double-decker buses with the Stanley Cup during a ticker tape parade through the Loop in downtown Chicago. (AP) Mayor Daley introduced Wirtz at the rally, saying: “Thank you Rocky for providing the Stanley Cup championship right here in the city of Chicago.” Said Wirtz: “Thank you, Mr. Mayor. You throw one hell of a parade.” Fans showered the Hawks with love from the start of the parade route at the United Center all the way to the rally site. A convoy of trolleys led the way, followed by double-decker buses filled with players. Texas Police Chief Indicted For Marijuana Distribution

The police chief of a small Texas town near the Mexican border is facing federal charges of conspiracy to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana. Sullivan City Police Chief Hernan Guerra is charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute more than 1,000 kilograms and four counts of possession with intent to distribute between 100 kilos and 1,000 kilos of marijuana, according to the indictment, which was unsealed Thursday, reports Jeremy Roebuck at The Monitor. Guerra was caught as part of Project Deliverance, a 22-month probe by the U.S. Department of Justice targeting Mexican drug trafficking cartels. More than 2,000 people in have been arrested so far, including 430 in 16 states on Wednesday, which is when Guerra got a big surprise from FBI agents who raided his office. Dina Manzo to The Real Housewives of New Jersey: I’m Outta Here!

A new Danielle Staub sex tape may be creating the most online buzz around The Real Housewives of New Jersey , but it’s a Danielle Staub tirade that has reportedly led to the exit of a show cast member. Multiple sources confirm that Dina Manzo will quit the series after next week’s episode, a decision that was hyped in a recent Bravo promo that teased one of the Housewives will be “leaving forever.” Danielle and Dina have clashed throughout the season, but Zap2It reports it was the former’s behavior at a recent charity benefit that truly opened up Manzo’s eyes to the self-absorbed lunatics with whom she was sharing the screen. Referring to Staub’s outburst at the event (read about it HERE ), Manzo said: “For her to make a mockery of it was extra upsetting as a cast member. It was really the last straw for me.” Away from the cameras, Dina runs Project Ladybug, an organization for children with life-threatening illnesses. Manzo says she was “a thousand percent” against Bravo filming the aforementioned charity gala. The reason? “I take this very, very seriously. I am so exhausted at the end of the day and I don’t make a penny for Ladybug.” Of course, Bravo would only make the following statement in regard to this rumor: “While there is a lot of speculation about who, if anyone, is leaving the cast – viewers will have to tune in on Monday night to find out the truth.” Okay, fine. We’ll do so. But only to give Dina a standing ovation when she walks away from the spoiled nuts jobs that surround her.

‘The A-Team’ Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know

Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson lead gun-loving soldiers of fortune out to prove their innocence. By Eric Ditzian Bradley Cooper in “The A-Team” Photo: 20th Century Fox “The A-Team” left the NBC airwaves in March 1987. In the ensuing 23 years, all we’ve had were reruns and the memory of Hannibal whispering, “I love it when a plan comes together!” Now those bomb-exploding, chopper-crashing, gun-loving soldiers of fortune are back, as “The A-Team” arrives in theaters on Friday (June 11). If you missed ’em or if you never even knew ’em, it’s time to meet the crew: Liam Neeson as cigar-chomping leader Hannibal; Bradley Cooper as smooth-talking Face; Sharlto Copley as loony Murdock; and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as milk-drinking, ass-kicking B.A. Baracus. Special Forces soldiers wrongly convicted of war crimes, the four men band together to prove their innocence — and blow up a crapload of stuff in the process. The movie is, in a word, loud . It’s also a ton of fun, and MTV News wants you to enjoy the experience to the fullest. That’s why we’ve been following this project since its inception. Now, we present to you another edition of our big-screen cheat sheet: everything you need to know about “The A-Team.” The Plan Begins To Come Together After years of false starts, in January 2009, Joe Carnahan (“Smoking Aces”) signed on to direct the adaptation, with Ridley and Tony Scott coming aboard as producers. By June of that year, Cooper and Neeson had joined up, followed in August by Rampage . Copley and Jessica Biel , who plays the hard-nosed government agent going after the Team, inked deals in September. Filming on “The A-Team” kicked off in the fall, and the first photo of the guys on set popped up shortly thereafter. Days later, the world got its first peek at Rampage as Baracus , taking over the role made famous by Mr. T. Before she headed off to shoot, Biel spoke with MTV News about tackling the classic “A-Team” material. “I think it will be a little bit similar here and there, but we really have our own tone going on,” she said. “It’s a little bit less campy than the actual show and a little bit more serious action and fighting sequences but still with lots of humor. Lots and lots of humor.” The Team Lights It Up The first official glimpse of the new A-Team arrived in January 2010, when the trailer dropped online. It gave us a brief intro to the crew — and revived the pleasant sounds of the show’s familiar theme song. The studio, Fox, followed up that trailer with a slew of photos: explosions, guns and close looks at all of the characters. The following month, we were treated to introductions by video to members of the Team — Hannibal . Face and Biel’s Sosa . A second and final trailer was released in April, giving us more of everything we’ve come to expect from “The A-Team”: weapons, tough talk and mayhem. The New Crew Rolls Out Cooper, Biel, Neeson and the rest of the cast hit the red carpet last week for the Los Angeles premiere of their movie, where MTV News’ official Coca-Cola Movie Awards Insider was on hand to take in the action. Then over the weekend, we chatted with the cast once again. Cooper revealed that once they started shooting, the script basically got thrown out the window. “The script was fantastic actually,” he said. “And it sort of went away when we started shooting it, and that was an interesting process. That was probably the most morphed element of the movie, was what happened to the script.” Script or not, Carnahan and his team have got big plans for a sequel if it turns out the first one resonates with audiences more than two decades after the TV series went off the air. Those plans include the possibility of Mr. T re-entering the “A-Team” world. “My thing with T was, I brought him down to the editorial and showed him a lot of the film, and he loved it and laughed and was very supportive and seemed to really dig Rampage in that role,” Carnahan said. “I thought, where T is concerned, if there’s ever going to be a cameo, you don’t burn your powder. I think that’s a guy you save potentially for something bigger.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The A-Team.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Eminem Keeping June 22 Recovery Release Date, Despite Leak

MC has often moved up release dates after album leaks in the past. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem’s Recovery album Photo: Interscope Eminem changed the rules regarding album’s traditional Tuesday releases in the past, when the MC would push up the date by weeks after his projects were bootlegged or leaked online. Now, with his forthcoming Recovery set having hit the Web two weeks early , the rapper has reportedly decided to keep the same June 22 release date. According to XXLmag.com , a representative for Em confirmed the date would stay the same despite the album being available illegally. An Interscope Records spokesperson was unavailable at press time when contacted by MTV News. Recovery arrived online and via blogs earlier this week, following the lead single “Not Afraid” and the Pink-assisted “Won’t Back Down” . The first video from the project, “Not Afraid,” premiered Sunday and departs from the rapper’s usual satirical efforts. Last month, Eminem revealed the tracklisting for Recovery, and the rapper chose to work with Lil Wayne, Pink, and Rihanna for the project. In the past, he’s kept his circle of collaborators short, mostly limited to the Shady/Aftermath camp, including Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. For this collection, however, Eminem chose to work with a bevy of new contributors, such as producers Just Blaze, Jim Johnson, and DJ Khalil. “A lot of good music is being made [by Eminem],” Just Blaze told MTV News in April. “He’s really back spitting. The wordplay is crazy, the metaphors are crazy. He’s really back on his game. He had his ups, he had his downs, he’s back way, way, way up. This is definitely going to be up there with the best of his albums, for sure, for sure. The fact that he’s branched out working with a lot of different people now, collaborating in a lot of different ways that he never has before, I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people.” Are you excited to hear Eminem’s new album? Eminem Admits Being Jealous Of Lil Wayne, Kanye West On ‘Talkin’ 2 Myself’

‘I almost made a song dissing Lil Wayne,’ he raps on the Recovery track. By Jayson Rodriguez Lil’ Wayne and Eminem performs onstage during the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic Eminem dived into the depths of his drug dependency for his last album, Recovery, and on his forthcoming Recovery, he continues to speak on some of the low points in his life. On the track “Talkin’ 2 Myself,” the Detroit MC admits being jealous of Lil Wayne’s and Kanye West’s rising prominence. “I went away, I guess, and opened up some lanes,” Em raps on the DJ Khalil-produced number. “But there was no one who even knew I was going through growing pains/ Hate was flowing through my veins/ On the verge of going insane/ I almost made a song dissing Lil Wayne.” In the song, Em later claims that the attention Wayne and Kanye were receiving while he was away prompted the intended attack. But he backed away when he realized he wouldn’t have been much of an opponent, in his condition. “I would have had my ass handed to me” he spits, acknowledging his respect for their craft. Upstart singer Kobe is featured on “Talkin’ 2 Myself.” He’s one of the few guests on Recovery, in addition to Lil Wayne, Pink and Rihanna. For the set, though, Eminem reached out to a slew of producers he never worked with before, including Just Blaze, Havoc, Boi-1da and Khalil. Recovery is slated for a June 22 release, however the project leaked to the Web on Tuesday (June 8). In the past, the rapper’s recording home, Interscope Records, has shifted the album release forward to compensate for such leaks. As of press time, the label had yet to indicate whether the release date for Recovery would be moved up. Are you surprised that Eminem nearly went after Lil Wayne and Kanye West? Green Day Talk Getting Their Own ‘Rock Band’

‘I think it might have inspired people to get real guitars and real drums,’ Billie Joe Armstrong says of the video game’s appeal. By James Montgomery Green Day might not be the first band that comes to mind when you think “video games” (although in their early years, they did have a Sega Genesis on their “Book Mobile” tour bus). So with the release of the new, ultra-deluxe “Green Day: Rock Band” right around the corner, we asked the guys just why they decided to partner up with MTV Games for the project. And, as is the case with many things involving the band, the answer was a combination of both high-minded idealism, and, well, low-brow, decidedly boozy realism. “When I’ve seen ‘Rock Band,’ what I’ve noticed is that there’s a lot of old songs and different kinds of songs by different bands that kids are picking up on,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong explained. “And that’s what I thought was so cool about it … [‘Rock Band’ is] its own radio station in a way. But, you know, you’re sort of involved with it. And though you’re playing plastic guitars, I think it might even have inspired some people to actually go out and, you know, get real guitars and real drums and start to figure it out on their own, you know?” “The first time I ever saw ‘Rock Band,’ uh, it was like in a pub in California and they had a TV and they had the game set up in a little corner,” drummer Tr
