Clark Rockefeller, the man whose real name is Christian Gerhartsreiter is being labeled something else: accused murderer. Lindsay Lohan Terrified of "Psycho" Photographer

Lindsay Lohan knows all about doing things strictly to get the attention of dealing with the paparazzi, but feels one shutterbug has crossed the line. Having just moved to a more secure location by the Betty Ford Clinic after being stalked by Sam Lutfi (or someone), now she’s got more problems … According to Lohan, a “psychotic” photog seems to live outside her digs. He’s there EVERY day and doesn’t miss a beat when she ventures out. Poor girl just can’t catch a break . Lindsay is so upset, she’s asked her lawyer to go to court and get a restraining order against this dude and several others, but so far nothing’s been filed yet. TMZ sources confirm there is indeed a guy who follows her everywhere she goes, running up to her car, yelling at her every time she comes to a stop, etc. He drives a Prius with tinted windows. Nice to see that even the seedy underworld of celebrity gossip media feels the urge to reduce carbon emissions.

Who Scored Big in Week Nine of SNL’s Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time-Player Relevancy Poll?

A strange thing has happened over at 30 Rockefeller Plaza during this season of Saturday Night Live : Bill Hader has usurped Kristen Wiig as SNL ‘s go-to cast member. Oh, sure, Wiig has had her fair share of sketches this season, but it’s becoming increasingly evident that the Man Who Plays Stefon has put the show on his back. Hader wasn’t number one on the Revelancy Poll this weekend, however, but it’s a rare week when he does not appear in the top-five. For reference, this is not one of those weeks.

Ratigan: ‘Default Position’ In USA Is To Incarcerate Black Men

Dylan Ratigan’s “Daily Rant” segment was a treasure trove of controversial statements today.  You be the judge of which statement rates higher on the controversy-meter: Ratigan’s claim that the “default position” in the USA is to incarcerate black men rather than educate them; or Blogger Keli Goff’s suggestion that to end the cycle of poverty among African-Americans, and to avoid burdening taxpayers, kids should be taught in school that not everyone should have children. Ratigan’s rather-imprison-than-educate African-Americans accusation is refuted by the facts, starting with the fact that the school district that spends more per pupil than any other in the USA is . . . that of the federally-funded District of Columbia, whose students are predominantly African-American. As for the suggestion from Keli Goff [a youthful veteran of various Dem political campaigns], can you imagine the outrage and the accusations of eugenics if a conservative blogger, particularly one of pallor, proposed that kids be taught not to have children as a solution, among other things, for reducing the burden of African-Americans on taxpayers? Goff was responding to a Bob Herbert column noting the low high-school graduation rate among African-American males. KELI GOFF: . . . One high-school dropout ends up costing taxpayers more than $200,000 over his lifetime.  And yet African-Americans and religious black Americans in particular, still have a tough time tackling the issues of family planning and birth control . . . So what’s the solution? Well, I think it’s simple. I think we should start by putting the “plan” back in “family planning.” No, I’m not advocating that we start throwing condoms at five-year olds. I’m actually suggesting something much more revolutionary.  For starters, what if in childhood health classes we taught the idea that just as every person isn’t meant to grow up to become an astronaut, not every person is meant to grow up to become a parent? . . . DYLAN RATIGAN: How much of [the cycle of poverty] in your opinion is family-planning driven, how much of that is a function of systematic racism in our country and laws that are enforced to basically pick-up, harvest and incarcerate young black men , particularly in New York with the Rockefeller laws, and how much of it is a complete abandonment of education as a value system period in this country unless you’re rich? GOFF: Well first of all you can’t discount any of those issues, and a lot of them are intertwined, but we do have systematic racism in this country, we have a history in this country that has helped handicap — RATIGAN: Particularly for incarcerating black men! GOFF: Right, which has helped handicap our community. RATIGAN: Because in my opinion, has been a default position to incarcerate black men as opposed to educate and integrate black men into our economy!

Lady Gaga Fans Display Their Monster Finery Before ‘Today’ Show

From cigarette glasses to studded bustiers, the costumes at Rockefeller Plaza would make the Haus of Gaga proud. By Nuzhat Naoreen, with additional reporting by Kimberly Reynolds Lady Gaga fan at the “Today” show on Friday Photo: Nuzhat Naoreen/ MTV News NEW YORK — The heat wave was still lingering in the city, but that didn’t stop devoted Lady Gaga fans from getting decked out in their most inspired looks before waiting overnight in Rockefeller Plaza to see their idol perform for the “Today” show on Friday morning (July 9). From a sea of blond wigs, to dangerously high heels, the Gaga footprint was everywhere. Some fans rocked styles straight from her music videos as a tribute to the pop princess. Others took to a cue from Gaga’s unique sense of style to put together original eye-catching outfits. “Telephone” seemed to be the biggest inspiration of the night. MTV News caught sight of fans who had soda-can rollers tucked in their hair and glasses made out of fake cigarettes as a nod to Gaga’s looks in the video. Some little monsters wore lacy leggings and studded tops, and many wrapped yellow caution tape around themselves. Then there were the fans who got even more creative. One woman bought a strapless dress and adorned it with yellow flowers, while another used a piece of pleather to make an outfit. A lot of fans also relied on great accessories. A young woman, wearing a short, bright-red jumpsuit glued metallic rocks onto the side of her sunglasses, and her look was so Gaga-like that many fans stopped her for pictures. Hundreds of fans, who were perhaps not as gifted with time or sewing skills, threw on body and face paint and made special T-shirts and posters in preparation for Gaga. To get a taste of the many attention-grabbing looks in Gaga’s “Today” show audience, check out the flipbook ! Which Lady Gaga would you re-create and wear if time and skill were no matter? Talk about it in the comments. Related Photos Little Monsters Take Over NYC Related Artists Lady Gaga

Gulf Oil Spill Update: Just the Facts

“How much oil is still gushing? No one knows exactly how much oil is escaping BP's oil collection system (series of pipes drawing oil from leak to surface ships) and entering Gulf waters. Government estimates peg the leak at 35,000 to 60,000 barrels per day, which translates to between 1.5 million and 2.5 million gallons. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)'s nearshore trajectory predictions for the spill show it hovering off the Gulf Coast as far west as the Rockefeller State Wildlife Preserve and Game Refuge in the western part of Louisiana. The oil slick stretches as far east as Port St. Joe in northwestern Florida. NOAA is no longer forecasting the movement of oil out at sea, but the slick is not currently expected to enter the Loop Current, which could draw it around the Florida Peninsula and into the greater Atlantic. However, giant plumes of oil and gas are still present thousands of feet below the surface of the Gulf. The plumes are made of a mixture of oil, gas and seawater. They've been spotted radiating out from the blown well in all directions, University of Georgia marine scientist Samantha Joye said at a June 22 media briefing. The southwest plume has been traced over 20 miles from the well, while another plume extends more than 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the Northeast. The plumes are rich in methane gas, which is an energy source for some undersea microbes. These microbes seem to be noshing on the methane and multiplying, depleting the oxygen in the water column. In the long run, Joye said, that oxygen deprivation could affect the Gulf ecosystem by harming populations of plankton, the base of the oceanic food chain. (READ THAT LAST SENTENCE AGAIN!) How many animals have been affected by the spill? Gulf wildlife is still facing fallout from the oil spill. According to NOAA, 583 sea turtles were stranded in the oil spill area between April 30 and June 28. Of those, 432 were found dead and four died after being rescued. A total of 136 turtles are currently in rehabilitation centers, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is coordinating an effort to remove up to 70,000 turtle eggs from at-risk beaches. [Animals affected by oil spill] In the same April-to-June time period, 55 dolphins were found stranded in the oil spill area. Only two survived. While cause of death has not been determined, dolphin strandings are up this year, according to NOAA. According to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and NOAA numbers, 1,185 visibly oiled birds had been pulled from Gulf waters and beaches as of June 29. More than 300 of those were found dead, as were another 829 without external evidence of oil. ” More at link! http://www.livescience.com/environment/gulf-oil-spill-update-100702.html added by: DeliaTheArtist
