Reflecting on all my years (one) of reviewing Bad Movies We Love, I think the most epically bad is the ’76 version of A Star is Born . Towering chestnut afros, Kneivel-like motorcycle accidents, the appearance of Gary Busey — it’s huge bad. But the newest update on Beyonce’s planned remake could be a step towards an even worse production: Leonardo DiCaprio is rumored to be discussing the Kris Kristofferson role with new director Clint Eastwood. Is this a good or groan-inducing idea?

Who Will Christopher Meloni Play in New Superman Movie?

Christopher Meloni has joined the growing, impressive list of stars in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman reboot. Titled Man of Steel , the film will feature Henry Cavill as The Caped Crusader, Russell Crowe as Jor-El , Amy Adams as Lois Land and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents. Meloni, who exited Law & Order: SVU this year after 12 seasons as Detective Stabler, will come on board as a “general,” he told New York Magazine this week. Zod, perhaps? Exciting casting news this Thursday: Julia Ormond is reportedly in talks with Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder to play Superman’s Kryptonian mother Lara Lor-Van in Man of Steel . The actress could be joining Russell Crowe, who is circling the role of Superman’s father Jor-El, and Immortals star Henry Cavill will play the titular superhero. Gabrielle Giffords: Released from Hospital

Gabrielle Giffords has taken a major step on her path to a full recovery. The Arizona Congresswoman, who was shot in the head by a crazed gunman in January, was released from a hospital in Houston yesterday. She will soon begin outpatient care. “We are very excited that she has reached the next phase of her rehabilitation,” said Dr. Gerard Francisco, the hospital’s chief medical officer, who will continue to supervise Giffords. Giffords’s also spoke out, referring to his wife’s time at TIRR Memorial Hermann and her road to come. “Gabby gives her all to everything she does, and that’s exactly what she’s been doing at TIRR since January 26,” said Navy Capt. Mark Kelly. “The remarkable progress she has made since then is a testament to both her single-minded determination to get better and the team of medical professionals overseeing her care.” Earlier in the week, Giffords released a pair of photos to her Facebook page . They were taken last month and show the progress made by this brave politician. A country is rooting for her.

Report: Amber Scaggs Pregnant By Corey Simms, Leah Messer Will Be "Devastated"

Leah Messer is reportedly devastated over a report that Corey Simms’ girlfriend Amber Scaggs is six weeks pregnant with the couple’s first child. As if their heartbreaking breakup wasn’t enough. For Teen Mom 2 star Leah, who has two daughters with Simms, it’s one shocker after another. Corey’s new girlfriend, Amber Scaggs , is a mom herself. Now daughter Bralyn, 1, may be getting a sibling, as reports say she’s expecting again. Protection? Who needs it, are we right people? Corey and Leah in happier times. Tanner ones, too . “She took a pregnancy test and it came out positive,” Amber’s friend Kacy Lynn Rogers confirms. “I know that she was with Corey around Easter, and she is approximately six weeks pregnant, so it makes sense.” TOTALLY makes sense, Kacy Lynn. But reportedly, neither Leah nor Corey – who are not even divorced yet – know that Amber is expecting (although tabloid sources apparently do ).

Russell Crowe to Play Jor-El in New Superman Movie?

Russell Crowe is in the news for a reason other than his belief that circumcision goes against the will of God . The Oscar-winning actor is in negotiations to play a key role in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman reboot: Jor-El, the biological father of this caped hero. Henry Cavill has already signed on to portray Superman, while Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon will also come on board the franchise. Production on Superman: Man of Steel gets underway next month, as Jor-El is the last major role to be cast. Sean Penn and Clive Owen are also under consideration, insiders say, but it is Crowe’s part if he wants it. Think Crowe is the right fit?

It’s not Sunday , but that doesn’t mean Man of Steel casting news can’t slip out from Hollywood. Variety reports that Russell Crowe is in talks to play Superman’s father, Jor-El, in the Zack Snyder-directed reboot. Marlon Brando famously portrayed Jor-El in Superman: The Movie , and earned roughly $12 million for his ten minutes in the film . Here’s guessing Crowe won’t be that financially lucky. Russell Crowe Appears Confirmed For RZA’s Kung-Fu Film

Besides the exciting news that Wu-Tang Clan member and martial arts-aficionado RZA’ s Kung Fu film The Man with the Iron Fist was actually beginning production in China, there hasn’t been much to report on the project. The fact that co-writer Eli Roth stepped on as producer along with Quentin Tarantino seemed like a forgone conclusion and the cast of Lucy Liu, Daniel Wu and Byron Mann more or less made sense. But finally, a bombshell of sorts: Russell Crowe appears confirmed to star in the film.
