California Dreamin’

Yesterday I had another book signing in Glendale, California. It was so much fun to meet all of the readers who came to the signing, especially the little kids! Being on a book tour is almost more fun than the campaign trail. I want to thank everyone who has purchased my book and come out to the signings; you’ve made this all possible for me and I’m so grateful for your support. Tonight I am a guest on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. I hope everyone will tune in and watch. The other guests are Ed Harris and GEORGE CLINTON! I can’t wait to meet him; I’m such a big fan! The Insider and LA HQ

Yesterday was a big day with a stop at “The Insider” for an interview with Lara Spencer and then a trip to the campaign’s headquarters in Santa Monica to meet our tireless volunteers. Once again, I want to thank everyone for their support during my book tour. I just found out that “My Dad, John McCain” officially became a New York Times bestseller yesterday. I am so honored and grateful! Song of the Day: “Hot N Cold” by Katy Perry

Ohio and Pennsylvania

The Straight Talk Express “Blogette Edition” continued to roll through Ohio and Pennsylvania over the weekend, from book signings to thanking volunteers to squeezing in some time at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  We have been going nonstop, being powered by the enthusiasm of those we meet.  You guys have been phenomenal!  It was very cool campaigning with two U.S. Olympians – Larsen Jensen, a member of the U.S. Olympic Swimming team and Jason Read, a member of the U.S. 0lympic Rowing team.  They’re incredibly nice guys and it was great to have their support on the trail.  More to come from tonight’s debate in Nashville! The Soap Opera Continues As Graham Floats Utility Only Climate Bill

g photo via flickr It’s another day, which must mean there is a new development in the climate world’s most drama-packed storyline: just what will the Senate do or won’t do on its climate and energy bill? On Friday, the story’s most mercurial character, Sen. Lindsey Graham, added a new wrinkle, stripping the climate bill to just an electric utility industry tax. Graham thinks that by doing so a bill could muster the support of 60 Senators and that it would send the right market signals to prompt growth in nuclear power generation and renewable energy. … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Gary Coleman’s Widow Thanks Fans For ‘Wonderful Support’

‘This has been so comforting to the family to know how beloved he still is,’ her statement reads. By Kara Warner Gary Coleman Photo: Michael Loccisano/Getty Images Mere hours after news broke that Gary Coleman died of an intracranial hemorrhage on Friday (May 28), Coleman’s widow, Shannon Price, thanked fans for their support. The heartfelt statement was read by her brother, Shawn Price, at a news conference. “We are very grateful for all the wonderful support everyone has been extending to Gary’s family,” he said. “Thousands of e-mails have poured in to the hospital. This has been so comforting to the family to know how beloved he still is. … Thank you so much for all that you guys have done and for the support and prayers that you guys have given us.” Price also said that details regarding Coleman’s death and funeral arrangements will be announced soon. The “Diff’rent Strokes” actor , whose congenital kidney disease halted his childhood growth at an early age, had suffered a series of health setbacks in recent years. He was admitted to the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo on Wednesday after hitting his head in an unexplained fall and had reportedly slipped into critical condition by the next day. On Friday, doctors announced that he was unconscious and on life support in a coma due to an intracranial hemorrhage, which results from a broken or ruptured blood vessel, causing bleeding inside the skull. Born in Zion, Illinois, on February 8, 1968, Coleman was adopted as an infant by a local couple. He was diagnosed with an autoimmune dysfunction called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a congenital kidney disease that stunted his growth (he was 4-foot-8) and required two kidney transplants as well as daily dialysis. Later in life, he was forced to work as a security guard on a movie set in 2008 when acting gigs dried up. He got married that year to then-22-year-old Shannon Price, though the union was rocky, landing the couple on the syndicated “Divorce Court” show. He was hospitalized in Los Angeles for undisclosed reasons in January, then again in February after suffering a seizure on the set of the TV show “The Insider.” Share your thoughts and memories of Gary Coleman in the comments below. Super Junior in Singapore 2010

Fans from Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia turned up to show their support for Super Junior. Tickets were sold out in just a week! Some of the die-hard ELFs were camping outside the venue the night before. I could feel the adrenaline rush as the doors opened at 6pm. ELFs began chanting “Super Junior!” as the members walked through the entrance door. IT was splendid! That’s the perfect word to describe the concert held on March 20, at Bukit Jalil Putra Indoor Stadium. Korean boy-ban

Billy Ray Cyrus Loves His Sexy Daughter

It’s one thing to have the support of your parents. It’s another thing to have the support of your parents when you’re grinding with a stripper pole and then with a group of caged guys in a music video. First, Billy Ray Cyrus assesed his daughter’s controversial pole dance at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards by simply saying Miley “loves entertaining people.” Now, he apparently sees no problem with Miley prancing around in a provocative outfit and sexing it up with a bunch of guys in her video for ” Can’t Be Tamed .” “My dad loves it,” the former Disney star told MTV News of the video. “[He] was thinking I was a little crazy while I was writing it because when you’re hearing ‘feathers coming out of your hands,’ [you think] ‘oh wow, looks crazy!’ “[But] they were so proud of the treatment that I came up for it.” Fan reaction to the video has been mixed. Some are happy to see Miley embracing a provocative, mature side; others believe she’s setting a bad example for her young fan base. It’s no shock that Billy Ray is on Miley’s side, though. This is the same father that let his nine-year old daughter walk the red carpet in THIS OUTFIT .

Late Night Highlights: Marilyn Monroe’s X-Rays, J. Lo’s Scent and Jay Leno’s Sex Ed

You may not know this, but George Lopez is Kate Gosselin’s biggest fan when it comes to Dancing with the Stars . I am not sure what he has invested in the mother of eight’s win, but he has repeatedly begged his Lopez Tonight viewers to vote for her, rallied his Twitter followers and even appealed to Larry King’s audience last week to “Vote for Kate!” Last night, the TBS comedian took his support up a notch by inviting Steve-O onto the show to literally staple his support. That clip, as well as the other highlights you missed last night while cursing the fact that your network forfeited Bret Michaels for nine spoiled party girls, after the jump.
