SMH: The Stockton Record reports 18-year-old George Herrera got stuck in a chimney while trying to sneak into his house Thursday. Art Ray of the Stockton Fire Department says the teen was breaking curfew and trying to get inside his home. Ray says Herrera was trapped near the chimney bottom for about 90 minutes before emergency crews were called around 10:15 a.m. When they arrived, they could see his feet sticking out of the fireplace. Rays says rescuers secured ropes around the teenager’s wrists and pulled him up about 8 feet with the help of a firetruck ladder. Officials say Herrera wasn’t hurt and was allowed to return home after the rescue, which took about 15 minutes. Ah, what teens do these days to sneak in and out of the house. His dumba$$ should have just left a window open or something…chimney sliding does not sound like the best idea. SMH at this lady: Fed up with crime, a Flint homeowner is fighting back. With words. Eight words are spray painted, on a piece of plywood, covering the front window of a vacant home on N. Chevrolet near Berkley on Flint’s north side. One word intentionally used to send a strong message. “This house is a reflection of ignorant n—as,” read the black homeowner who made the sign. The last word? The N-word. The last two letters a-s, not e-r. At her asking, we’re not going to identify her. She says the windows were ripped out by thieves so they could get at scrap metal. She says she had been fixing up the home to use it to help the homeless. “They’re hustling out here. It’s a domino effect and yet we sit back and do nothing in the community,” she said. “I can understand just how frustrated the lady is. Somebody stole my pipes out of this house before I got here,” said neighbor Ladale Woods. The single mother of two, attending college and taking marketing classes, says her intent was to make a statement to those committing crime. “Evidently I got my message across because you guys are here. Well done. I did what I was supposed to do.” “I know who I am. I know where I’m going so the word does not define me. Not at all.” The woman did spray paint over the word Monday because people were offended by it. But she stands firm, fed up with crime in her city. Crime that this time hit too close to home. This broad looks like a super duper broke a$$ Lil Kim: A New Jersey woman who police say injected a man’s penis with silicone, resulting in his death, has been charged with manslaughter. The Essex County prosecutor’s office says 34-year-old Kasia Rivera gave 22-year-old Justin Street the injection on May 5. Such injections often are used to enlarge body parts, such as the buttocks. Street died the day after his injection. His death was ruled a homicide following an investigation and a medical examiner’s determination he died of a silicone embolism. Rivera also faces charges for the unauthorized practice of medicine. She was arrested Friday and is being held on $75,000 bail. It’s unclear if she has a lawyer. We’re pretty certain there were other ways this fool could have gone home to prison. Fueled by dangerous paranoia following his release from prison, Damel Burton, 34, carried out a psychotic 15-minute spree that left two people dead and sent terrified passengers stampeding off a Q111 bus, police sources said. The madman told cops he believed the commuters were plotting against him. “People on the bus were on the phone and he thought they were talking about him,” a police source said. Burton began his horrific spree by fatally shooting Keith Murrell, 18, in the chest in the apartment they shared with Murrell’s mother on Foch Blvd. in Jamaica, police sources said. The gunman, who had grown increasingly unhinged following a seven-year prison stint for armed robbery, then boarded the bus and randomly shot innocent commuter Marvin Gikes, 36, in the back of the head, police sources said. He collapsed on the bus’ rear steps and died. Next, the gunman blasted commuter Jojuan Lipsey, 29, in the face as screaming passengers ran for their lives, sources said. Lipsey, a state-employed counselor for developmentally disabled patients, was heading home from work to see his wife and kids when a bullet tore through his mouth. “He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time,” said his mother-in-law, Catherine Baynes. “You don’t expect anything like that to come so close to home.” Lipsey underwent surgery at Jamaica Hospital and is expected to survive. The bus bloodbath came shortly after Burton and Murrell got into a confrontation in their second-floor apartment, their friends said. After Burton blasted him in his chest, the dying teen stumbled into his room and locked the door to get away from the crazed killer. Murrell managed to leap out the window and run to a nearby Royal Fried Chicken store to get help. He collapsed outside the chicken joint and later died at Jamaica Hospital. “He was running over here and he fell to the corner,” shaken store clerk Ali Nasery, 27, recalled. Burton raced out of the apartment after his first killing, but police sources said he dropped a damaging clue — an identification card, which police found along with several 9-mm. bullets. Fewer than 15 minutes later he boarded the bus, opening fire as it rumbled near the intersection of Archer Ave. and Parsons Blvd. Chaos erupted as the gunfire sent about 50 panicked passengers rushing for the front of the bus and screaming for the driver to open the doors, the rattled driver told the Daily News. “They just wanted to get out,” the 57-year-old driver said. “It was panic, crazy. I couldn’t believe it. “It sounded like the Fourth of July,” he added. He said passengers were screaming, “Let me out, let me out,” as they ran for cover. After unleashing the insanity, the suspect ran off the bus, but only made it a block away before police captured him. He was still carrying a semi-automatic 9-mm. Ruger pistol, the sources said. SMH , what year is this??? At least six HIV-positive people have died after evangelical churches in Britain reportedly told them to stop taking their medication because they had been healed by God. Pastors at several churches in England and Scotland told undercover Sky News reporters that they could be healed through an exorcism-like process that involves shouting over the patients and spraying water in their faces. A pastor at the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), a wealthy televangelist organization with branches throughout the world, told one undercover reporter – who actually is HIV positive – that they had a 100% success rate. “We have many people that contract HIV. All are healed,” Holmes said. Holmes even said that if symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea persist, it’s a good sign that the virus is leaving the body. “We’ve had people come back before saying, ‘Oh, I’m not healed. The diarrhea I had when I had HIV, I’ve got it again’” Holmes said. “I have to stop them and say, ‘No, please, you are free.’” And according to the Sky News investigation, as many as six individuals have died after churches instructed them to discontinue their medication. One of the victims, Emmanuel, stopped taking his medicine a year ago after being instructed by a pastor at his church in London. The pastor told him that once god forgave him, “the disease will definitely go.” But now Emmanuel believes he may have passed his HIV infection to his boyfriend. “I feel guilty, if I’m the one who passed it onto him I’m feeling guilty. Yeah, very much guilty,” he told Sky News. SCOAN continues to defend and administer it’s treatment for the HIV virus, and other diseases. “If anybody comes in the name of God, we pray for them. Cain sought to offer a pre-buttal to an Atlanta FOX affiliate’s report, which is set to air this evening, featuring a woman who alleges she maintained an affair with Cain. Cain offered no specific rebuttals to any of the forthcoming claims, explaining that he would not respond to allegations before the report had aired them. But he did acknowledge a relationship with the new woman, whom he called an “acquaintance” that he had tried to help. “We will address these when they come out. At this point, I just want to give you a heads-up, I don’t have anything to hide,” Cain said on CNN. A preview for the station’s report, which is set to air at 6 p.m., says that Atlanta woman Ginger White claims to have had a 13-year-long affair with Cain, which she would detail publicly. The woman is just the latest accuser of Cain, whose once-promising White House bid has been weighed down by a series of women to have come forward and accused him of sexual misconduct; other women have accused Cain of harassment, not an affair. Some of the women have made the claims publicly, while others’ identities have not been made public. Still, Cain lumped the forthcoming allegation with the previous ones, which he has steadfastly denied and called “baseless.” When asked specifically if he had an affair with this latest accuser, Cain replied: “No, it was not.” Cain’s attorney responded to the FOX affiliate in more evasive terms: “This appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults – a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life,” attorney Lin Wood said. Wives are getting ruthless and creative when killing their husbands these days: A Los Altos woman pleaded not guilty on Thursday to stabbing her estranged husband in what a prosecutor describes as a carefully plotted attempt to kill. Laura Jean Wenke, 50, is charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and assault with a stun gun. San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Wenke carefully plotted the attack. On Sept. 15, Wenke dressed herself in coveralls, rubber boots and bubble wrap and she went to his office in Redwood City. Her husband was working at his computer at Wenke Construction when his wife attacked, Wagstaffe said. Wenke shot a stun gun into her estranged husband’s side, stabbed him in the neck and stabbed his chest while he was still sitting at his computer, according to investigators. The husband called 911 and police officers said they found him outside the building bleeding in the parking lot. His wife was still in his office, her bubble wrap outfit streaked with blood, when officers arrested her. The husband survived the attack. Wenke is currently in jail without bail. Prosecutors said Wenke attacked her husband because she was livid that he had a new girlfriend. The Los Altos couple filed for divorce in August 2010 and was separated at the time of the suspected stabbing. Bubble wrap, though??? In between discussions over flood protection, redistricting and housing, the North Dakota state legislature will dedicate part of next week’s special session to one particularly heated issue: the nickname of the University of North Dakota sports teams. The legislature is expected to pass — and Republican Gov. Jack Dalrymple is expected to sign — a law allowing for the retirement of the Fighting Sioux nickname in order to prevent NCAA sanctions. The NCAA has said the nickname and school sports logo are offensive. The legislature had passed a law in the spring, signed by Dalrymple, stripping the state Board of Higher Education of the power to repeal the nickname. “[The governor] will urge the legislature to pass a bill that returns that decision back to the state Board of Higher Education,” said Jeff Zent, Dalrymple’s spokesman. State Senate Minority Leader Ryan Taylor (D-Towner) confirmed that the legislature will likely pass the bill in order to avoid NCAA sanctions. UND officials have not yet decided on a new name. The original bill passed as the Board of Higher Education was planning to take away the nickname. UND is now attempting to join the Big Sky Conference, which said it would not accept the school as part of the conference as long as it called itself the Fighting Sioux. The NCAA has asked college athletic programs that have Native American-related nicknames to change the names. The Spirit Lake tribe filed a lawsuit in federal court in North Dakota this week to prevent the changing of the nickname, because they felt they were being discriminated against.
