New Miley Cyrus Tattoo Supports Gay Marriage, Equality

It’s small, but important and effective and it forces us to give major props to Miley Cyrus. The singer Tweeted the words “All LOVE is Equal,” last night, along with her new tattoo, which is an equal sign. Check it out below: Cyrus has made her views on gay marriage well known over the years. She spoke out against Carrie Prejean in 2009 and she brought up the topic in contrast with the Casey Anthony verdict a few weeks ago. In this example, someone disagreed with Miley over Twitter, which prompted the following response: “where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn’t. GOD is the only judge honey. ‘GOD is love.'”

I have never gotten to actually MEET Justin Bieber until my…

I have never gotten to actually MEET Justin Bieber until my dream finally came true on June 22, 2011. I had seen him in concert & I had even had the chance of seeing him in Times Square perform, but I never got a picture with him. My friend and I rushed to Dave Letterman where we knew Justin would be soon to do a part for that night’s show. We got there at 11 in the morning and literally NO ONE was there, just us . At around 2 pm, tons of girls showed up and waited across the street behind barricades for Justin. On our side, there were only about 10 girls in the front and maybe 10 other people behind us. As soon as we saw Kenny in the front of a black SUV we knew that Justin was coming! My friend and I were literally shaking. Justin got out of the car and went automatically across the street to the other girls, he then made his way down taking pictures and giving hugs. We were yelling for him to come over to where we were standing, so he came over and started with the girls farther down from us. We were still trying to say stuff to him and I looked at Kenny and he smiled at me. I think he thought we were crazy, but he knew Justin would stop for us. Finally he came to my friend and I. We were the LAST girls, and he stopped in front of me and said, “Are you ready? You guys been waiting long?” and we were so shocked we kinda spit out our words, “Omg yeah we’ve been waiting for so long!”. He took my camera, put his HAND on my back, and his head touched mine! I was shaking. He took two pictures on my camera, since he didn’t know if the picture came out. Then he took my friends camera and took a picture. It flashed so he was holding the camera and goes, “How do I see if I took the picture”. We both said, “You press the play button” and he was like “I don’t know where that is”. I was like “It’s right there” and I helped him. So he sees the picture, and it’s all zoomed on my face! He asked, “Why is it so zoomed in!” My friend fixed it and he took another few more pictures and left . He literally spent like 2 whole minutes with us and it was incredible. I couldn’t believe it had finally happened. never say never, because I waited so long for that picture. -@magggieeeh Original post: I have never gotten to actually MEET Justin Bieber until my…

‘Attack The Block’ Aliens ‘Unlike Anything You’ve Seen’

Director Joe Cornish tells MTV News that ‘Starship Troopers’ and ‘Gremlins’ provided unlikely inspiration for alien-invasion flick. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz “Attack The Block” Photo: Studio Canal Although there are some big Hollywood names among this weekend’s new releases “Cowboys & Aliens” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love.,” there is an equally intriguing, if slightly lesser-known film hitting select theaters called “Attack the Block.” What sets “Block” apart from all of the others is that it was shot on a small budget and features a cast of mostly unknown actors. MTV News recently caught up with first-time feature director Joe Cornish to find out how he accomplished so much with so little, and why he thinks his alien-invasion action movie is the best of the summer. “You’re right to observe that this movie cost probably the amount that one of Bruce Willis’ shoes cost,” Cornish joked when asked about the challenges of working on a limited film budget. “Like I say, that was something that excited me; I wanted to do ambitious stuff in an inventive way.” Cornish explained that he and his crew took a unique approach to their aliens, drawing inspiration from a couple of unexpected cult favorites like “Starship Troopers” and “Gremlins.” “We have an alien design we’re proud of. It’s unusual. It’s very different. It’s unlike anything you’ve seen before,” he promised. “I like when movies withhold the monster, but I also like — ‘Starship Troopers’ is one of my favorite films, and there comes a point in that movie or in ‘Gremlins,’ where they just show the monster and it becomes about quantity,” he said. “We designed our monster in such a way that we could do that. So we don’t hide it for the whole movie, we expose it and you see them in numbers and in force.” Newcomer actor John Boyega said the film is a thrill ride full of unexpected surprises … and warm hugs? “We were put at ease by [co-star] Nick Frost’s constant hugs and his words of advice and Joe Cornish’s enthusiasm on set,” Boyega said. “It was great to work on that project, it was a great experience,” he added. “It just felt like a fun ride.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Attack the Block.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Jill Scott Says Chappelle Block Party “Was Not Fun”

Read the original:

Dave Chappelle’s Block Party in 2004 will go down as one of the coolest outdoor concert experiences of the last ten years.  R&B star Jill Scott was one of the featured performers and tore down the stage with Erykah Badu during a rendition of “You Got Me.” Now if you watch footage from the movie (released in 2006) Jill was very pleasant and easy going back stage, even with her pimple named “Herbert”. But in a recent interview with TheHuffingtonPost she admitted that being back stage wasn’t all fun for her. MR : You’re in a certain Dave Chappelle’s Block Party flick. That must have been fun. JS : That was not fun for me. It was a great experience, however it wasn’t fun. The only reason I say that is I typically work a certain kind of way. There were so many people and so much energy that it was hard for me to find a space to just be for a moment, straight from a crowd of people to the stage, which is not normally what I do. I remember being thoroughly exhausted when that was over, but very proud of the outcome. I still watch it now and then and I think, “Wow, what a great experience.” READ FULL INTERVIEW AT HUFFINGTONPOST.COM RELATED POSTS: You Voted: Jill Scott Represents Black Music in 2011! Brandi Glanville Beach Photos

Eddie Cibrian#39;s ex-wife Brandi Glanville at the beach in L.A. yesterday. Eddie famously cheated on Brandi with LeAnn Rimes in 2009, before the two finally divorced last year. In other words, Eddie cheated on his wife with an uglier chick, which resulted in him losing half of his assets. His second — arguably better — option to sleeping with LeAnn was to just bash himself in the head with a rock, but he couldn#39;t find one in time.

REVIEW: Eloquent, Unusual Myth of the American Sleepover Captures the Enduring Wistfulness of Teenhood

What’s daring about The Myth of the American Sleepover , a modest, untroubled elegy for the passages of middle-American youth, is as straightforward as it is uncommon. Working within a well-worn format — the hometown coming-of-age drama — the effect of feature-debut writer and director David Robert Mitchell’s intensely personal attention to tone and the flow of emotional currents is one of negative exposure, a setting of the genre into a stark and original relief. Conspicuous among his choices was to set and shoot the film in his native suburban Michigan and give it a largely local, unknown cast, several with twanging accents intact. The girls are built as girls that age tend to be — with variety, but tending toward awkwardness — and the boys are as small and reedy as we rarely remember them to be. In other words, it looks more like your teenage world than such films generally allow, and it’s not pretty. It’s beautiful.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: ‘Twas the Fight Before Christmas …

It’s a Christmas Party at the Gorgas last night on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and according to Melissa’s sister, panties are optional. Enough said. Let’s recap the festivities with THG’s +/- review! We’ll start with pre-party planning. It sounds like Joe Guidice has a DUI conviction, then was driving while suspended for the DUI for which he spent 10 days in jail. He’s being sued for fraud and is in the middle of very public and messy bankruptcy proceedings plus other legal issues that haven’t been discussed on the show.
