Velociraptor’s ‘killing’ claws were for climbing

ACCORDING to Jurassic Park, everyone's favourite fleet-footed predators dispatched their prey by disembowelling them with deadly “killing claws”. Not so, say palaeontologists who have studied the biomechanics of Velociraptor claws.
