Walker defended her choice to not touch and hug fans due to the fact that she identifies as an empath. After the unnamed fan’s Instagram post explaining how the meet and greet ruined her perception of the 23-year-old singer, Walker took to Instagram to set the record straight. Gilbert Arenas Sits Down With ESPN’s ‘The Jump’ & Gets Roasted By Richard Jefferson

Source: Cooper Neill / Getty Gilbert Arenas was one of the most electrifying basketball players on the planet during his time with the Washington Wizards, although the team made just more headlines for locker room strife as it did winning games. Agent Zero sat down with ESPN’s The Jump, and his former college teammate Richard Jefferson relentlessly roasted him. To be fair, Arenas probably caught a lot of smoke from Jefferson after referring to him on-air as a “douchebag,” and noting that his fellow retired NBA hooper was a bit sarcastic. While Jefferson’s cold shoulder act seemed sincere, much of it appeared to be playful ribbing from guys who have a long history together. One interesting point of note was host Rachel Nichols mentioning a recent story from Wizards player Trevor Booker, who noted on the HoopsHype podcast that the team was the most “unprofessional” team he’s played on, and mentioned some of the antics, including Arenas taking a dump in a player’s shoe although not by name. To be fair, co-host Paul Pierce gave Arenas his props after saying that if he didn’t get hurt that he’d be one of the all-time greats. 11-Year-Old Actor Evan Alex Is Writing His Own Horror Film

B lack youngsters are making boss moves in the entertainment industry. Earlier this year, actress Marsai Martin became the youngest executive producer in Hollywood history. 11-year-old Us star Evan Alex recently announced that he’s in the process of writing a script for a horror film, the Hollywood Reporter reported. Evan Alex, the 11-year-old actor who starred in Jordan Peele’s #UsMovie , is writing his very own horror script and even got some pointers from Peele himself https://t.co/4SfX34kSwo — Hollywood Reporter (@THR) November 4, 2019 Alex shared the news at an annual event hosted by UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. He says he’s received pointers from director and producer Jordan Peele . “I’m working on my own project,” he told the news outlet. “I’m writing a script. I’ve talked to Jordan about it. I’ve talked to him about the horror and about how I want this to be a little like Game of Thrones .” Alex hasn’t even entered his teenage years yet and he’s already laying the foundation for a promising career in the film and television industry. He’s been featured in several projects including the web series Mani and Showtime’s comedy-drama series Kidding . Alex has also made appearances on Sesame Street and Jimmy Kimmel Live! . He says he’s inspired by Peele and learned about the different facets that go into the creation of a movie while filming Us alongside Lupita Nyong’o , Winston Duke , and Shahadi Wright Joseph . “The exciting thing about making this movie is being able to do all these different things and doing things with a really good director, so it’s really fun working with him,” he said in a statement, according to Bustle . “You can sit with him and he’ll teach you like what to do and how he does it, and it was really nice learning from him.” One of his most recent projects was a short film titled Black Boy Joy which featured actor Will Catlett and was directed by Martina Mossell Lee . On November 5th, Meek tweeted: “Since they got like 30 abandoned schools in Philly…. Can we buy one and build a super school in our own neighborhood!” With over 16.1k likes on the single tweet, it seems plenty of people agree with Meeks idea. Senator Vincent Hughes replied to his tweet, stating, “Let’s talk! @SenatorHughes would love to discuss ways to improve the Philadelphia school system.” Chris O’Connell from Fox 29 also retweeted Meek’s tweet, “I’m hoping the stakeholders reach out and have this conversation with @MeekMill. Bold ideas get bold results. Think differently. #investinschool More Meek Mill News:  Meek Mill Wants Police Accountability As he continues to fight for reform, along side (as he puts it) his billionaire friends, Meek has the power to not only finance an idea this bold, but also use education has a way to help the community and give children more opportunities to flourish. The Philadelphia School District has also been plagued by major budget cuts over the last couple of years, and this has sparked debates and protests in the most severely affected areas. This continues to be a major issue in Philadelphia, and there needs to be BIG and BOLD ideas to start finding real solutions. During a set in Las Vegas, the North Carolina star used a savvy video to announce the follow-up to his acclaimed KOD album. The Dreamville honcho was one of the closing headliners for the three-day Day N Vegas festival this past weekend and delivered another one of his crowd-pleasing sets. During one portion of his show, J. Cole rolled out a promotional video styled similarly to a presidential campaign spot. If the speculation surrounding the clip is true, this would serve as the first official announcement of an upcoming LP titled The Fall Off . Remember Her? Ananda Lewis Explains Why She Left Behind TV Success To Be A “Loner”

If given the opportunity,  Ananda Lewis  says she wouldn’t return to being a steady TV personality after dominating that space for years in the mid to late ’90s and early ’00s. The way things are done has changed, and she likes living outside of the public gaze. “I don’t know if I would want to do it now,” she told the people of  The DL Hughley Show   this week. “I probably could but I don’t think I would want to.” Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. ( Terms and conditions ). “I like my privacy now,” she added. “I like feeling normal again. I didn’t feel normal at all. I didn’t seek out that career so it surprised me that that happened and it was scary to me for a while. I was frightened for a long time.” Lewis was planning to teach, and was applying to do Teach for America when the opportunity to audition for BET’s Teen Summit came about. She was hired and never looked back, doing her best to embrace the opportunities that came with being a beloved face on TV. However, a number of uncomfortable encounters with people in public left her wanting to retreat. That, in particular, was the frightening thing for her. You meant something to them. I think that’s powerful and wonderful — right up until you’re in person and you don’t really know them, but they  really  know you,” she said. “Then they grab you and they come at you and it’s invasive. I like people, but I’m really private in terms of, I also need a lot of loner time. I’m a loner in my nature. It made a huge conflict in my heart.” Lewis, now 46, found the courage to leave it all behind, including doing her  The Ananda Lewis Talk Show,  after a few different life events happened. Those events included her grandmother requiring assistance and 9/11 happening. “I had a, kind of a convergence of big life events happening that also influenced my decision,” she said. “It wasn’t only me going, I can’t do this anymore, and that was in the middle of the talk show that I knew it. I knew it before 9/11 happened because we had been taping, but when 9/11 happened I was like, ‘This is a sign. I’m not supposed to be here.’ There are major things going on that are like, ‘get out!’” Ananda is still taking on hosting duties here and there. She is moderating  the reunion for Season 3 of the TLC series,  Unexpected , which airs Sunday .  She also has hosted the latest season of the fun reality series  While You Were Out.  So Ananda  is  returning to TV here and there, but she’s clearly doing it on her own terms. ‘Game Of Thones’ Spin-Off ‘House of the Dragon’ Coming To HBO

Source: HBO Game of Thrones fans who are still lamenting over the final season of the hit HBO show might find this news welcoming. During its big HBO Max presentation, the company announced the new spin-off House of the Dragon . HBO saved the best for last during the presentation revealing the prequel to Thrones will be produced by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal and will be based on Fire & Blood. The show will take place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Fans will also be elated to learn that Miguel Sapochnik, who directed the “Battle of the Bastards” episode, which is considered by most GOT fans as the best one, will serve as co-showrunner. He will also be directing the pilot and additional episodes, so that should curb any fears still lingering from the final season. Plus, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss will not be attached to this show in any capacity. When it premieres, we will be getting 10 episodes and will serve as a part of Sapochnik’s overall deal to develop shows for HBO and HBO Max — the company’s new streaming service that will cost $14.99 — when it launches in May 2020. In a statement about HBO programming president, Casey Bloys spoke on the new show stating: “The  Game of Thrones universe is so rich with stories. We look forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen and the earlier days of Westeros along with Miguel, Ryan, and George.” The announcement of House of the Dragon came on the heels of HBO reportedly shelving another GOT prequel starring Oscar-nominee Naomi Watts, Naomi Ackie, and Denise Gough. #GameOfThrones ' George R.R. Stephen Curry Suffers Broken Left Hand, Out For Undetermined Length Of Time

Source: WENN.com / WENN The Golden State Warriors are now down two All-Stars after Stephen Curry suffered a broken left hand during a freak collision during a drive to the basket. Curry will undergo tests and evaluation as a timetable has yet to be set for how long the star player will be on the shelf. ESPN reports that Curry, 31, collided with Phoenix Suns big man Aron Baynes while making a drive towards the basket. Baynes, attempting to take a charge, fell on Curry’s left hand and the pain from the injury was apparent right away. What makes this a tough injury is the Warriors are already missing Klay Thompson due to ACL surgery and talented big man Kevon Looney is also out for a few more games. The Suns beat out the Warriors 121-110, handing the California team a 1-3 record at the moment. Coach Steve Kerr addressed the media after the game stating that while the loss of Curry and Thompson are tough, the team is moving ahead in an attempt to find what pieces are in place to hopefully salvage their season. As one of the more stacked teams in the NBA, the Warriors have a cast of younger players who have been waiting in line to get more playing time and that opportunity will now present itself according to comments made by team owner Joe Lacob. — Photo: WENN
