Source told PEOPLE, Hewitt just broke off romances with co-star Jamie Kennedy last month and is dating actor-director Asher. The source did not say how the two met or when they started dating.  Asher, 39, filmed a guest appearance on Ghost Whisperer earlier this year that is scheduled to air Friday. Asher has a 7-year-old son, Evan, with McCarthy, to whom he was married from 1999 until 2005. (McCarthy announced this week her split from longtime boyfriend Jim Carrey.)
