gizmodiva A 34-year old British woman Amanda Taylor died from blood poisoning just two days after her tounge pierced.She got her piercing as a birthday gift for herself. Two days after the piercing, Taylor noticed the swelling of her tongue and she immediately sought for medical help.  She was prescribed antibiotic by her doctor but was found dead by her mother just hours later. “Her friend was having it done too so I said to Amanda: ´You´re going to be 34. I´ll give you my blessing, but I´m still not 100 percent happy.´ .. If I´d said no she wouldn´t have done it. I wish I said no that day instead of yes,” said her mother.
