Source told PEOPLE, Hewitt just broke off romances with co-star Jamie Kennedy last month and is dating actor-director Asher. The source did not say how the two met or when they started dating.  Asher, 39, filmed a guest appearance on Ghost Whisperer earlier this year that is scheduled to air Friday. Asher has a 7-year-old son, Evan, with McCarthy, to whom he was married from 1999 until 2005. (McCarthy announced this week her split from longtime boyfriend Jim Carrey.) Hewitt, 31, who last month released a book about dating, The Day I Shot Cupid, dated Kennedy for one year.
