Sometimes it just can’t wait until you get home. This was apparently the case for a woman who was allegedly caught masturbating during a screening of Fifty Shades of Grey in Sinaloa, Mexico. Ironically, while the movie has kicked a lot of box office rear end, Fifty Shades of Grey reviews are beyond terrible, leaving a lot of critics wanting more. The woman from Sinaloa didn’t need more, however, as she felt perfectly fit to drop trou in the 12th row of the theater, letting her true feelings be known right then and there. Her review seems to be pretty positive. But one hornball woman’s solo theatrics may not be enough to save the film’s production team, which is reportedly on the chopping block as we speak. Rumors say author E.L. James will write the screenplay for Fifty Shades Darker herself and that the director will be replaced along with the first screenwriter. The sequel promises to be much sexier, much steamier and much more risqué than the current offering. Hopefully, it should get better just as a movie as well. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Who says the first one wasn’t sexy?” I didn’t … and I know our friend in Sinaloa sure didn’t. But what is masturbation worthy for one woman in Mexico is simultaneously barely exciting enough to keep a professional film critic awake in New York or Los Angeles. That’s the world we live in, people. That’s the disconnect. That’s why the film has made $320 million worldwide… and been almost universally panned by critics. Food for thought.
