Josh Duggar has become a father for the fourth time. The controversial reality star announced on Twitter today that wife Anna has given birth to a girl named Meredith; she weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz. and measured 20.5 inches in length. Duggar also included the following photo of father, daughter and mother along with the confirmation message: “Announcing the arrival of Meredith Grace Duggar!” Josh Tweeted. “Anna and Meredith are resting & doing well!” Meredith joins Marcus, 2, Michael, 4, and Mackynzie, 5, in Anna and Josh’s immediate family. Josh and Anna have been married since 2008 and announced their latest pregnancy in December, coming out with their daughter’s gender four months later. Josh Duggar, of course, has been in the news for several weeks now… for reasons that have nothing to do with impending fatherhood. He admitted in May to sexually molesting multiple young girls back when he was a teenager, a handful of whom were his own sisters. “I hurt others, including my family and close friends,” Josh said in a statement on May 21, adding: “I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation…I sought forgiveness from those I had wronged and asked Christ to forgive me and come into my life.” Anna Duggar then came out in support of her husband, telling the world a week later that she forgives him. TLC, however, immediately yanked 19 Kids and Counting off its schedule and just announced its official cancelation on July 16. Meredith, meanwhile, will soon have a little cousin: Josh’s sister, Jessa (Duggar) Seewald is also expecting.
