Anna Duggar Shares Moving Tribute to Young Family Member Killed In Car Crash

Last week, we reported on the sad news of yet another tragic loss within the Duggar family. On October 2,  Rebecca Waller was killed instantly when she ran a red light and was struck by two cars near her home in rural Minnesota. She was just 22 years old. Rebecca was the sister of David Waller, who is married to Anna’s sister, Priscilla. Though there were several degrees of separation and a distance of many miles between them, Anna and Rebecca reportedly enjoyed a close bond, As David wrote in his loving tribute to his departed sister , Anna’s family is an exceptionally close-knit clan. And it seems the loss of such a young life in such a senseless accident created a shockwave of grief that resonated throughout the Waller and Duggar families. This week, Anna became the latest member of her extended family to honor Rebecca’s memory on social media. She posted the above photo of her beloved relative along with a heartfelt caption: “Life is a precious gift and sometimes it seems MUCH too short,” Anna wrote. “We were heartbroken when Rebecca Waller (my brother-in-law, David Waller’s youngest sister) passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident this week.” “The memories our family made with Becca over the years will be cherished forever!” Anna continued. “She lived her 22 years of life (though so short) to the fullest. “Rebecca loved God and served others diligently, she was energetic, gave the best hugs, and was a blessing to everyone who knew her!” she concluded. The loss could not have come at a more difficult time for Anna. Currently pregnant with her sixth child , Anna has been forced to cope with two unexpected deaths in the span of just four months. Back in June, Jim Bob’s mother, Mary Duggar, passed away in a freak drowning accident. While she was also was not an immediate family member, Anna had formed a close bond with Mary in the years since she married into the Duggar clan. Needless to say, Anna’s current pregnancy has not been an easy one from an emotional standpoint. Though these recent losses may have led her to an even deeper appreciation for the time she’s able to spend with her loved ones. Duggar Family Suffers Another Tragic Loss; Pregnant Anna Duggar Overcome With Grief

It’s only been four months since Jim Bob Duggar’s mother, Mary Duggar, died in a freak drowning accident. And now, the family is forced to cope with the loss of another life taken before its time. Multiple sources have now confirmed that Rebecca Waller was killed in a traffic accident near her home in Harris, Minnesota on Wednesday. She was 22 years old. Rebecca is the sister-in-law of Anna’s sister Priscilla Waller. Priscilla’s husband, David Waller, shared the news of his sister’s passing on social media: “With heavy hearts, we received a phone call today that David’s youngest sister, Rebecca went home to heaven today, October 2, at around 8:30 a.m.,” he wrote. “The twenty-two years of life that God gave us with her seem so short, but in light of eternity all of our lives are short.” Waller continued: “The most important thing is a relationship with Jesus Christ that Rebecca evidenced by the fruit of her life. “She is in heaven today, not because she was a good person, but because she trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior,” he added. “The instant her car was struck, she passed from earth to heaven and is in the presence of the Lord.” According to police reports obtained by Radar Online, Rebecca was killed instantly when she was struck by two cars after running a red light and attempting to “cross westbound traffic.” While Anna lived far away from her Minnesota relatives, insiders say she has always maintained close relationships with her siblings and their spouses. Currently, Anna is expecting her sixth child , and this is the second loss she has suffered during the pregnancy. Anna has paid tribute to Mary Duggar numerous times on social media, and those who know the family best say she was especially close to the woman whom she thought of not as an in-law, but as her own grandmother. Anna has not yet spoken publicly about the loss of her brother-in-law’s wife, but knowing how important familial bonds are within the Duggar clan, it’s safe to assume she’s overcome with grief. Anna Duggar Defends Son Against Alleged Salamander Abuse

Look, you guys. Anna Duggar may have sat mostly idly by while her husband confessed to molesting two of his sisters as a teenager and then to cheating on her as a client of the adultery website Ashley Madison . But she will NOT just sit there and let you accuse her son of mishandling a tiny animal, okay?!? Earlier this week, Anna shared a photo of her son Marcus on a trip she dubbed to be part of “Man Camp.” Ignoring how stereotypical, kind of offensive and possibly harmful such a title is, Duggar wrote the following as a caption to the picture below: Our boys had a great get away last week at ‘Man Camp’ with Daddy, Grandpa (Pops) most of their Uncles and a ton of friends! It’s been so fun to hear Michael and Marcus tell me stories of all the fun they had fishing, horseback riding, doing camp activities and playing 4 square late into the night. It’s been equally exciting to hear them reference the different sessions with things they learned from God’s Word! These guys have grown up so fast and I’m so thankful for the treasure of being their mommy and watching them transitioning from boys to little men. I love you guys so much! The idea that fishing and horseback riding are examples of activities reserved for men is very much on brand for a member of the Duggar family. But that criticism wasn’t the focus of most people who left comments on this snapshot. Instead, a surprising number of Instagram users took issue with the way young Marcus is holding the little animal above. “You don’t hold a newt like that,” one person actually wrote. “You hold it gently in the middle of your palm.” In the grand scheme of all one could take the Duggars to task for, this seems relatively harmless. However, give Anna props for not letting trolls say anything negative about her child. Especially not when they weren’t even correct in their assessment of this situation. “Marcus couldn’t quite figure out how to hold his fish so he held the artificial lure instead,” she explained in response, adding: “I wouldn’t let my kids use a real salamander for fishing bait [catch and release].” So there you have it, folks: No salamanders were harmed during this trip to Man’s Camp. And, yes, the trip did sadly include Josh: Along with Marcus and Michael, Anna and Josh are parents to Mackynzie, 9, Meredith, 3, and Mason, 2. They announced in April that they’re expecting their SIXTH child as well . “We couldn’t be happier to share with the world that our family is growing by one this Fall,” Anna and her polarizing husband told Us Weekly in a statement at the time, adding: “We continually stand amazed by God’s love, redemption, grace and blessings in our lives. Well, it's official — Josh and Anna Duggar are expecting their sixth child . Despite the fact that Anna pregnancy rumors circulate on social media pretty much nonstop, a lot of fans were still surprised by the news. You can count us among those who were taken off-guard by the couple's video announcement. Sure, the rumors are constant, but that's all the more reason they can usually be discounted. The situation has caused us to reflect on the bumpy road that brought Josh and Anna to this point. Here's a look back at how it all began, as well as the many challenges these two have faced along the way: 1. The Beginning Josh is the oldest of the Duggar kids, and he was the first of Jim Bob and Michelle’s children to tie the knot and start a family. 2. The First Grandkid No doubt Anna will always have a special place in her in-laws’ hearts for giving the offspring-obsessed Duggars their first grandchild. 3. Keeping Tradition Alive When Mackynzie (who’s now 9) joined the family, it looked as though Josh and Anna would follow in his parents’ footsteps. 4. D.C. Bound But the couple surprised fans when they moved to Washington. D.C. so that he could work as a lobbyist. 5. Keeping Up the Pace Two more kids — Michael and Marcus — followed soon after Mackynzie. 6. Anna Duggar Makes First Instagram Post in Two Years, Gets So Much Hate

Anna Duggar … well, it’s safe to say that her life has been a little complicated for the past few years. Ever since it was revealed that her husband, Josh Duggar, had molested five young girls when he was a teenager, things haven’t been easy for her. Which, you know, makes sense. Back in 2015, the news about Josh came out , and it was an absolute mess, to say the least. Michelle and Jim Bob tried to make the situation seem not as bad as it was, which absolutely didn’t work, and 19 Kids and Counting was canceled. A few months after that we learned that Josh had also had an Ashley Madison account , and that he’d been cheating on Anna, or at least trying to cheat on her. In a statement about that part, Josh also admitted to being addicted to porn, so that’s another fun little tidbit. After that, Anna essentially went into hiding. She didn’t appear much on Counting On or any of the family’s social media accounts, not to mention her own. She got a whole lot of backlash for staying with Josh after the Ashley Madison thing, and for potentially endangering her children. Not leaving him was a way of supporting him, even after everything had come out, and many people didn’t like that. And that’s basically why she hasn’t made a post on her Instagram account in two years. Until this weekend, that is. Up until yesterday, her last post was in February of 2016, but then she posted this cute photo of two of her kids playing: “Usually my boys are playing with blocks, hot wheels, and nerf guns,” she captioned the picture. “Sometimes they decide to get creative ‘toys’ — stack ’em and then snack ’em! #creativity” So that’s pretty harmless, right? Not so much. Some people took issue with the fact that the boys are on the counter — one person wrote “I love you and all, but why would you let your kids play on top of a counter top like that?” Others were upset that Anna didn’t post any pictures of her daughters, and one of her followers even asked if the girls were “allowed” to play like the boys. But, of course, the main issue wasn’t with this particular picture, but with Josh. “I don’t see your little girls in the picture,” someone told her. “I hope someone besides your cheating, molesting husband is watching them.” “Please keep a careful, watchful eye on your kids both boys and girls,” another instructed. One particularly passionate person commented with “Have you finally realized that there is no hope for cheaters and especially molesters???” “Incestuous molestation at that..glad you have your children..but please move on and don’t bring anymore into the world with your sick hopefully soon to be Ex husband. HE TRIED TO RUIN YOU.” Then, on a bonus photo Anna posted, one of adorable little Mason , she got more criticism. “You continue to have babies with that cheating incest molesting husband of yours,” someone began over in that comment section. “Smh …. what did he say 3 hali Mary’s and u turned around and forgave him all willy nilly……” “Set an example to your daughters for peets sake to be a strong woman…your families females being subservient to the man makes you ladies look weak which is something the movement is fight against…” Whatever movement this person is talking about surely isn’t of interest to the Duggar clan, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a point. It is kind of bizarre how Anna is still pretending everything is fine after what Josh has done — or at least it would be in a normal marriage. Josh Duggar: Depressed, Unkempt, Living with Jim Bob & Michelle?

We recently learned that Anna Duggar didn’t have sex with her disgraced, cheating husband for nearly a year after he checked into rehab. Turns out his family won’t touch him either (so to speak). While it may seem like Josh Duggar is being slowly re-introduced into public life, everyone is clearly still wary of any association with him. The Duggars are in Big Sandy, Texas, attending a week-long convention for Christian families who adhere to a common set of beliefs. (Follow this link for our recent breakdown answering the question what religion are the Duggars and what those beliefs entail.) They announced that the “whole family (minus Jill and Derick) is heading to Big Sandy for their homeschool conference for the week!” Yes, including Josh … not that you’d know. In photos from the event, the expectant couple has been carefully avoided, though their two-year-old daughter Meredith was spotted. Josh and Anna did appear in one picture of a large family gathering, though they are MIA from any solo shots or other group images. Beyond the fact that his sex scandals have made Josh into a human third rail, criticism directed at Anna may also give the family pause. Currently pregnant with her fifth child, Anna has been criticized by many for standing by her man (she can’t win either way with fans). In any case, the silence can be deafening. When the world first learned that Anna was expecting for the fifth time, she and Josh revealed the news on the family Facebook page. While they are always congratulating their younger siblings on similar life milestones, Jill and Jessa Duggar were radio silent this time. In fact, it may only increase the scrutiny. The impression is that every public appearance or social media mention of him is carefully crafted and unavoidable. Almost involuntary.  Discussion of where the scandals left Josh Duggar’s net worth , or what he’s doing to make a living now, are extremely common online. There’s also debate over where he’s living or whether he’s become so depressed that he can’t function as an equal parent with Anna. This image of Josh, posted by Pickles 4 Truth , shows him with an unkempt appearance at the Creation Museum in Kentucky last month: Josh is looking a little worse for the wear. Moreover, a hot photo of Jana Duggar holding Meredith at Big Sandy drew attention, and not just due to how beautiful “Cinderella” is. Coupled with reports that he doesn’t help Anna at all, Duggar obsessives are wondering how dependent Josh has become on his family. Some have even wondered if they’ve moved in with Jim Bob. One fan asked: “Are the Duggar family raising Josh and Anna’s children?” At the very least, they’re believed to be living close to the family compound in Arkansas, where he toils away doing whatever it is he does. Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar: Blaming Anna For Josh’s Cheating?!

Shortly after the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls when he was in his teens, the Duggars were beset by yet another scandal involving their eldest son’s sexual impropriety. When the infidelity-facilitating website Ashley Madison was hacked in August of 2015, Josh was revealed to be its most high-profile client. We still don’t know if Josh succeeded in his efforts to cheat on his wife, Anna, but we do know what his intentions were. In the wake of Josh’s second scandal, the Duggars went into damage control mode. Josh was sent to rehab to undergo a “faith-based” course of treatment for his sex addiction, and when he returned home six months later, his family basically kept him hidden from sight. So it would appear that though he avoided jail time for his adolescent sex crimes, Josh learned a hard lesson about fidelity after getting caught cheating on his wife. But as we’ve seen before, the Duggars are in object lesson in the many ways in which appearances can be deceiving. Less than two years after Josh checked into rehab, everything in his life has basically returned to normal. Josh and Anna are expecting their fifth kid ; the rest of the Duggars are back on TV; and while his career as a lobbyist/reality TV star may have come to an end, Josh is reportedly making a fine living for himself as the proprietor of several used car dealerships. Needless to say, fans are growing concerned that any lessons learned might now be forgotten. And their worst fears seem to have been confirmed by recent comments from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar regarding their views on infidelity. The couple frequently speaks at marriage retreats and in a video uploaded yesterday, Colorado-based pastor Kenny Batson recalled an encounter with Jim Bob and Michelle at such an event. Addressing his congregation, Batson recollected: “ At the marriage retreat — Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar helped us do it, and at the end of it, they were getting ready to go home, and Jim Bob caught me out in the hall and says, ‘You know what,’ he says, ‘I have to go back in here and do a little more teaching.’” “What they talked about was this matter right here. Intimacy in marriage. And Michelle said something that I’d never thought, I mean I knew of it but I never thought like she put it. “She said ‘Ladies, your husband can get his laundry done by other women, he can have his meal cooked by other women, he can have all kinds of things done for him by other women, but there’s only one woman who can meet that strong need he has that God put in him, and its you. Only you, lady .’” In the past, the Duggars have been accused of blaming Anna for Josh’s infidelity, and many fans see these latest comments as Michelle’s way of doubling down on those views. Michelle seems to be implying that Josh was simply acting on the “strong need that God put in him” and that Anna wasn’t satisfying his needs in the bedroom. Batson puts an even finer point on it, summing up Michelle’s comments thusly: “It is one of the greatest sins of women today, is a self-centered narcissistic view of how they are to have control of their bodies. The Bible says your body is not your own, sister. It is your husband’s.” They may have figured out a way to present themselves to 21st century television audiences in an inoffensive fashion, but the Duggars views on marriage and a woman’s place in the world remain deeply problematic. The Josh sex scandals briefly brought those views to the surface, and fans were justifiably outraged. But like Jim Bob and Michelle, the Duggars’ most loyal viewers proved very eager to forget. Katherine Heigl Welcomes Baby #3!

Katherine Heigl may have a reputation as someone who is difficult to work with on set. But she’s also gaining a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most prolific mothers. According to People Magazine, the former Grey’s Anatomy star and husband Josh Kelley welcomed a little boy into the world back on Tuesday, December 20. His name is Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Heigl and Kelley were already parents to girl Adalaide, 4, and Naleigh, 8, when they were blessed in life for the third time. The actress broke her pregnancy news to People in June of last year. “The Kelley clan is thrilled to announce that we are expecting a third addition to our family,” the star told the publication at that time, adding:  “Naleigh and Adalaide could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold, and Josh and I are overflowing with joy and gratitude.” Heigl is 38 and Kelley is 36 and the couple resides in Utah. After leaving Grey’s Anatomy amidst some controversy (most notably slamming the show’s writers one year for not giving her Emmy-worth material), Heigl starred in a number of pretty successful films. There was Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, for example. She then tried a return to television last year via the NBC drama State of Affairs, but it only lasted one season. She will next be seen in early 2017, giving the TV thing another try with CBS’ legal program Doubt. “This is an incredibly exciting time for us filled with hope, anticipation and hormones. Well, only I’m filled with hormones, but everyone in the family gets to enjoy them,” Heigl joked to People last summer. “We couldn’t be more excited to be able to finally share this news with our fans, and are looking forward to continuing to share the journey with you all.” Heigl made a point over the past few months to keep fans apprised as to the state of her pregnancy, both via her Instagram account and personal home and lifestyle blog, Heavenly Days. Here is one photo of the actress in her third trimester: “It’s hard enough for me to get motivated to work out when I’m not pregnant but now that I am it’s 10 times harder,” she blogged in September, explaining further: “I’m not up for weight training, lengthy cardio workouts or any of those new and fashionable exercise classes. What I am up for is yoga! Good thing plenty of those classes exist. While Heigl is now a three-time mother, this actually marked her first birth. She had adopted her two daughters. “We were considering adoption again, fostering, or pregnancy if possible,” she said in June, adding: “Seeing as I have never been pregnant and as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I’m of advanced maternal age, I wasn’t sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us. Well, only I’m filled with hormones, but everyone in the family gets to enjoy them,” Heigl joked to People last summer. “We couldn’t be more excited to be able to finally share this news with our fans, and are looking forward to continuing to share the journey with you all.” Heigl made a point over the past few months to keep fans apprised as to the state of her pregnancy, both via her Instagram account and personal home and lifestyle blog, Heavenly Days. Here is one photo of the actress in her third trimester: “It’s hard enough for me to get motivated to work out when I’m not pregnant but now that I am it’s 10 times harder,” she blogged in September, explaining further: “I’m not up for weight training, lengthy cardio workouts or any of those new and fashionable exercise classes. What I am up for is yoga! Good thing plenty of those classes exist. While Heigl is now a three-time mother, this actually marked her first birth. She had adopted her two daughters. “We were considering adoption again, fostering, or pregnancy if possible,” she said in June, adding: “Seeing as I have never been pregnant and as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I’m of advanced maternal age, I wasn’t sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us.
