K anye West is busy doing Sunday sermons and spitting out historically incorrect information about Black History. Now, his pastor claims that he is immersed in reading the Bible and coming to Christ. Tyson said in a recent podcast , “[The] first time I talked to [Kanye] the first Sunday in June, he told me, ‘I got radically saved five weeks ago.’ I said, ‘Kanye, what happened five weeks ago?’ He said, ‘I was just under the weight of my sin and I was being convicted that I was running from God, and I knew I needed to make things right, so I came to Christ. I came out of the darkness into the light.’” He also said, “I spent about three hours just going through the gospel, making sure he understood clearly about the atonement of Jesus Christ, that God is holy, that we are sinners, that Christ came to die in the place of sinners, that by repenting and believing in him, we can have eternal life. And [Kanye] was like, ‘Hey, man. I told you. I’ve been radically saved; I believe that message and I wanna get that message out to the world.’ [I told him], ‘As long as you’re professing Christ and living for him, I’m here to help you.’” Tyson also revealed that he is studying the Bible, even though he is a “ proud ” non-reader of books, “He’s so excited about studying the Bible. How can you say no?…The fruit that I’m seeing is he’s no longer continuing in some of the sin patterns that he was before he came to Christ. Right now, every day, he is living and walking with God, so from what I can tell, there’s no reason for me not to encounter that and be a part of that.” Maybe the pastor could turn Kanye on to reading about his history. This was the same man who said slavery was a choice,  Malcolm X wasn’t relatable and has repeatedly admitted to not voting a day in his life. Well, it’s October 1, which means Spooky Season is officially upon us. And like your neighbor whose jack-o-lantern has been rotting on his porch since Labor Day, Jill Duggar is getting a jump on the festivities by freaking everyone right the hell out. Sure, the Duggars don’t celebrate Halloween , and they think you’re going to hell if you do, but they still enjoy scaring the ever-loving crap out of everyone! Of course, the Counting On clan has no time for ghouls and goblins. They’re more interested in the state of your eternal soul and what they feel is the strong possibility that it’ll spend the next ten thousand years getting poked in the ass by a pitchfork. Yes, everyone once in a while the Duggars just like to remind you that you’re going to hell. Sometimes, these dire warnings take the form of a t-shirt or a sermon, but more often the D-gang simply interrupts your Tuesday with a gentle nudge and a whisper of “don’ forget, eternal damnation awaits.” Among Jim Bob and Michelle’s kids, the preferred means of communication these days is social media. And no one is more active on the ‘Gram than Jill Duggar. This could be because Jill is unemployed and has a lot of time on her hands, or it could be … actually, that’s the only reason we can think of. Whatever the case, the mother of two surprised her followers this week when she posted a link to a song about death. Of course, this wasn’t some cool metal song about death, but a Christian pop-hymn about the possibility with lyrics that contemplate the afterlife. The song, “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman, finds the singer contemplating where he’ll spend the next “ten thousand years.” Jill linked to the full version and posted several clips, demonstrating a preference for the verses about “when the end draws near.” “Can I get an Amen?!! Thankful this morning for God’s goodness!” Jill captioned the pic. Naturally, she received many “amen”s — but several fans confessed to being a little freaked out by the sentiment. None of this is surprising, of course, as the Duggars have always been big on the scare tactic brand of Christianity. ‘The Color Purple’ Actress Sues Show After Being Fired For Old Homophobic Post

Source: Mondadori Portfolio / Getty Actress Oluwaseyi “Seyi” Omooba was cut from the U.K. production of The Color Purple because of past homophobic comments and now she’s clapping back with a lawsuit. According to Pink News , Omooba was supposed to play the lead role of Celie who, ironically, has a queer relationship in the story. Yet, Omooba still chose to be homophobic, building off a 2014 Facebook post where she cited religion for her beliefs. Hamilton star Aaron Lee Lambert pulled up the old post, which partly read: “I do not believe you can be born gay, and I do not believe homosexuality is right, though the laws of this land has made it legal doesn’t mean its [sic] right. I do believe that everyone sins and falls into temptation but its [sic] by the asking of forgiveness, repentance and the grace of God that we overcome and live how God ordained us too [sic].” In his tweet of the post, Lambert asked Omooba, “Do you still stand by this post? Or are you happy to remain a hypocrite? Seeing as you’ve now been announced to be playing an LGBTQ character, I think you owe your LGBTQ peers an explanation. Immediately.” Omooba was advised by Leicester’s Curve Theatre and her agency, Michael Garrett Associates, to retract her post and to apologize. However, she refused to do this, citing her Christian faith as an excuse. “ I really wanted the role but what they wanted me to do was completely against my faith. I did not want to lie just to keep a job,”  she told  The Daily Mail. “I just quoted what the Bible says about homosexuality, the need for repentance, but ultimately God’s love for all humanity.” Omooba insisted that she’s not homophobic. “I stand by what I wrote, but had I known that it would have come to this, I would have set my account to the privacy mode.” Riiiight. Like that would’ve helped. Since her statements were brought to light, she was let go from The Color Purple production, and she was dropped by her agents. Omooba says when she tried to reach out to agents who were once eager to sign her, only one responded, acknowledging that she was ‘talented but misguided’ and brainwashed by her religion. “I’m heartbroken,” Omooba said. “If I’m unable to get back to the stage, then I feel there is no point. It’s the only thing I have ever wanted since I was a young girl.” Omooba has now filed a lawsuit against Michael Garrett Associates for religious discrimination. The group hasn’t commented on Omooba’s lawsuit, but the Curve Theatre told The Daily Mail , “The comments made by Seyi have caused significant and widely expressed concerns both on social media and in the wider press. Following careful reflection, it has been decided Seyi will no longer be involved with the production.” Guess we’ll have to wait and find out if Omooba will have any weight in court. Until then, she might want to just get started on that church production of A Color Purple . Surely, it’ll be an entirely different musical with some of the most important themes lost.

Hayden Panettiere Refuses to Testify Against Ex-Boyfriend, Domestic Violence Case Dismissed

Surprising news out of a Los Angeles County courtroom today, as Radar Online is reporting that Brian Hickerson — the controversial boyfriend of actress Hayden Panettiere — will not be charged with domestic assault . Hickerson was arrested back in May after police responded to a 911 call from Hayden’s neighbors. The case appeared to be open and shut, as neighbors testified that they heard sounds of an argument, followed by a female voice crying out in pain. It was later revealed that Hickerson had been charged with brutally beating Panettiere three times over the course of two days and was expected to serve time behind bars for the attacks. In a stunning turn of events, however, Panettiere refused to testify against her ex in court. According to Radar, Hayden’s family was contacted and informed that if the actress did not show up for today’s hearing, the prosecution would be left without witnesses and would have no choice but to drop the charges. It’s possible that the DA might subpoena Panettiere at a later date, which would mean re-filing charges against Hickerson. “If they subpoena her, they’d reopen the case,” a source close to the case tells Radar. The insider revealed that Hayden’s family is “disappointed” in the outcome but uncertain as to whether or not they should encourage the actress to take the steps necessary to see that Hickerson is brought to justice. “With all the evidence the police had, it’s not enough even without Hayden? It’s a fault in our judicial system,” says the informant. “It is not on Brian’s own good behavior that this got dismissed. It doesn’t change who is and what he has done. He is a criminal.” Despite the perceived miscarriage of justice, it seems likely that Hickerson will not face a second trial, as it appears that Hayden would prefer to simply move on with her life. According to the source, she and Hickerson “planned this” outcome, and the charges were “never going to go through” per an arrangement they reached ahead of the trial date. “It doesn’t shed a good light on Hayden,” says the insider. “It’s a bad choice to avoid the summons and not follow through,” the source continues. “It’s certainly not the end of the journey for Hayden or Brian.” We’d like to point out that it’s important to avoid victim-shaming in a case such as this, and it’s crucial Hayden do whatever is best for her mental health If there’s any bright side to this situation, it’s that Hayden and Brian appear to have finally parted ways. Unfortunately, it looks as though the actress and her ex still run in the same social circle due to the fact that Panettiere is now dating Hickerson’s brother . Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard: Screw Jim Bob and His Rules, Our Kids Are Going to College!

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are proving once again that they do not play by their family’s rules . Of course, because we are everyday, ordinary citizens, we support their rebellious behavior. But someone, anyone, please go get Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar a wet cloth!  As many Counting On fans know, because of the family’s strict religious background, Jim Bob and Michelle have very intense rules set in place for their 19 children.  And these rules are no joke. Besides no hugging before marriage, no celebrating Halloween , and no dancing, they are also expected to not further their education by going to college. While most parents get angry or frustrated at their child for not wanting to attend school, Michelle and Jim Bob’s parenting skills are rather different and very outdated.  They believe that their homeschooling is enough to get the job done, which wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing if they didn’t draw the line at learning outside of their walls. It’s honestly sad that Jim Bob and Michelle are so committed to raising their children by these weird standards that they’re willing to jeopardize their children’s futures. But when it comes to Jill and Derick Duggar, well, it actually sounds like they may want what’s best for their kids!  According to a new confession by Jill’s husband, their children may not be following their unconventional path of learning! In a new post on Instagram, a fan asked Derick if he and Jill’s sons, Samuel and Israel, will head to college one day, to which he responded, “Probably.” Derick’s college statement surprised many fans, mainly because Jill is very open up about how much she loves homeschooling her two boys . “Even when I was looking at homeschooling curriculum (yes, Israel [only] just turned three but I’m just excited!), I was reminded of all the fun things my mom did with us kids to help make learning fun!” Jill said in a May 2018 post. She added that she is always reminded by her mom in some way, whether it be cooking, gardening, singing, organizing, or teaching. But luckily, it sounds like she won’t be as strict on her children as her mom was on her, and her 18 siblings. Derick’s thoughts on education may have recently changed since the controversial Duggar-in-law decided to attend college last year.  He is enrolled in a three-year program at the University of Arkansas School of Law and he is very open about his experience. “Loved spending some quality time with my oldest son, who accompanied me as I wrapped up some stuff on campus today,” Derick captioned a photo of Israel inside of a library, adding #futurelawhog. Radar reported that Derick decided to go back to school after he and Jill got kicked off the family’s hit TLC show for his homophobic comments regarding Jazz Jennings . Jill, according to Radar , is working as a midwife for the time being. We can only hope that Derick and Jill continue to bend the Duggar family rules for the sake of their family maybe turning out somewhat normal; besides, we would love to see their kiddos start a new family tradition! You know, one that allows you to make friends, connect with the world, and well, learn things other than the bible. Unless, of course, their TLC show is still going strong. Amy Schumer: Brutally Mom-Shamed For Returning to Work 2 Weeks After Giving Birth

Few figures in the comedy world are as divisive as Amy Schumer. Which is surprising, as it’s not like she got busted being super gross like Louis C.K . or gleefully recounted tales of filling her sister’s vadge with pebbles, like Lena Dunham. Schumer doesn’t shy away from politics, but she also doesn’t delight in shock value or any type of extremism. In fact, by 2019 standards, her comedy is pretty tame — so those who prematurely made up their minds to dislike her mostly focus on the events of her personal life. Schumer gave birth to her first child earlier this month, and while the response from her fans has been mostly congratulatory, a handful of trolls have been doing their best to spoil the fun. First, Schumer was attacked for her name selection (Sure, maybe Gene wouldn’t have been our first choice, but it’s not like she named the kid after one of the weirder books in the Bible .), and now she’s being subjected to old-fashioned, hateful mom-shaming. Like C.K. before her , Schumer made a surprise appearance at the Comedy Cellar in New York last night, but because she’s never forced anyone to watch her masturbate, the audience wasn’t revolted, and the new mom was greeted with a standing ovation. On social media, however, the reaction was quite different. “Already???? That’s insane!!! And inhumane. Contract or not you need to be allowed at least six weeks for maternity,” wrote one of Schumer’s followers. “Ugh why are you working so soon?!” a second commenter echoed. “Our bodies need time to rest and our babies crave us because all they have known is us,” added another, less troll-y Instagram user. “It’s the fourth trimester, I hope you don’t have to work anymore. Take this time to bond and heal and settle into this new avenue in life! You’ll have the rest of your life to work and this new time with your little one won’t happen again.” “Like, I can still smell your placenta,” another commenter joked (we hope). “Take a damn break FFS.” Thankfully, other followers were far more encouraging and helped to push back against the tidal wave of mom-shaming. “You can’t keep a good woman down!” wrote one supporter. “This just in: Woman gives birth, then within weeks leaves the house and stands up for 30 mins. surrounded by friends making people laugh. The horror. Call CPS,” another remarked. “Here comes the mom shaming … ughhhhhhhhhhh,” wrote Molly McNeary comedian and wife of Jimmy Kimmel. “I’ve always wanted to be mom-shamed!!!!!” Fortunately, Schumer came up in the rough-and-tumble world of New York standup, so we’re sure she’s accustomed to far more biting (not to mention clever) insults. The Christian Post is reporting that, Anna Conkey walked into Mt. Everest Academy holding her 10-month-old baby as well as a handgun. This incident happened around 12 p.m. on Easter Sunday. In a YouTube video, Conkey explained that God had given her a message for the church. She said, “Well I had a message to share with my church today, and God had told me before I even went. He was like Anna, it’s not gonna be how you imagine it. And I certainly never imagined that I’d never even get to speak because He told me I was supposed to give a message. They told me to go. They told me they would call the police if I didn’t leave. Yeah. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t do anything that was hmmm, I guess when I said that I had more authority over the teacher which is true because God told me I’m his messenger. I’m an apostle and I’m a prophet. And according to the Bible, a prophet and apostle has more authority than the teacher so I happened to say that, then they told me to go. See how much they care about their hierarchy in the church. This is something that President Trump is strongly against.
