When I watch her interviews, I feel like I’m talking to a friend and I love how she’s rising in fashion. They were so stoked to attend their first MET Gala earlier this year and in the age of fashion icons, it’s great to see a style star on the rise and enjoying thee red carpet. They wore a bandeau top, paired with a blazer and black paper bag slacks by Taiwanese born fashion designer Jason Wu (who was put on the map by former First Lady Michelle Obama ). They paired the look with black pumps. Source: Lars Niki / Getty They kept their makeup very simple and it looks so good! Rodriguez gave us a bold cat eye and powdered her eye with a nude blush eyeshadow. I love this makeup look because Rodriguez looks fashionable and chic, but not like they tried too hard. I love it! Source: Craig Barritt / Getty It pays to be friends with Jay-Z , literally! The mogul is gearing up for his annual Shawn Carter Foundation Gala and this year, he spared no expense on his invites. While one should assume the event is an exclusive affair, it will be obvious by the ice on your wrist weather you were invited or not. It may be hard to impress other rich people, but Jay-Z had no problem doing this to his fellow celebrity friends Meek Mill and Swizz Beatz . The rappers each posted to their IG stories like it was Christmas. This Nigga jayz has rolexes as VIP passes. Wow. https://t.co/lEZtnrGZI6 — DonYé
Source: WENN/Avalon / WENN Dave East found himself the center of an explosive story that allegedly involved a threesome that went terribly awry. The Harlem rapper has since spoken up about the rumored incident and is shooting down the claims of the reported tryst. East chopped it up in Washington, D.C. on the grounds of Howard University for its homecoming weekend with The Morning Hustle Show with Angie Ange and Lore’l. East shared the tale of his come up in the game and also how much fun he had playing Method Man/Shotgun in the Hulu series, Wu-Tang: An American Saga . When the questions pivoted towards the alleged threesome incident in Las Vegas, Dave East was quick to clear up any confusion and explained that both he and the woman caught a battery charge. From East’s side of things, he invited a group of people to his hotel suite after rocking the Drai’s stages with 50 Cent when it all went left. “Two of the chicks were like, ‘Can we go to the bathroom?’” East shared. “I was like, ‘Yeah, go ahead.’ But my jewelry was in there. I forgot when I first came in the room, I put all my jewelry next to my bed on a little dresser. So then I thought about it, got up and went in there. Shorty was trying [it] on. Not on no sneaky like trying to rob, but I’m just like, ‘What are you doing? I don’t know you. What you doing?’ And then her friend caught an attitude. ‘Ain’t nobody trying to steal nothing.’” East said he directed the women to leave the residence when he said the woman began throwing bottles at her and that the woman called 911 on him despite his claims of not being the aggressor, leading to the battery charge. East maintains that he did nothing wrong and that the stories that popped off about a threesome were just hearsay. Check out the 11:00-minute mark of the following video to hear Dave East break down the craziness, but the entire interview itself is pretty solid so run it back. — Photo: WENN
Polaris Hosts Test Drive In Southwest Oregon The southwest coast of Oregon is full of pine tree forests that stretch down to the ocean, sand dunes that go on as far as the eye can see and coastline that is so picturesque that it looks like it came out of a storybook. And it was the perfect backdrop for a three-day trip to test drive Polaris’ newest fleet of off-road and specialty vehicles. The vehicle maker invited a select group of media and tastemakers (like Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus and social media star Mapy) to test the new Slingshot – a three-wheeled convertible-style roadster, and the Rzr – a four-wheeled off-road vehicle – among the natural splendor. After checking into our hotel, the Inn At Fifth in Eugene, we spent the afternoon getting to know each other and getting outfitted with Polaris gear to get us ready to drive. Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty The next day, we drove to the coast, taking in the beautiful scenery along the way: rushing streams, the occasional farm, forests and open fields. We first arrived at the Spinreel Dune Buggy & ATV Rental in North Bend, where after a safety check, we piled into our Rzr’s and set out for the sand dunes. Cruising the dunes in the Rzr was a blast – especially riding the four-wheeler all the way up a dune and then careening down it. After a lunch of local Dungeness Crab at the Coos History Museum, we got into our Slingshots for the final drive of the day. The two-seater resembled a cross between the Batmobile and a motorcycle, and the convoy of our Slingshots driving through the streets and highways along the state’s coast turned heads wherever we went. Riding in the open air Slingshot with the music blasting was simply exhilarating. No wonder celebs like Chris Brown are fans. Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty We ended our trip by driving the Slingshots to the Heceta Head Lighthouse – a scenic spot that had its own beach – where put our feet in the water and snapped a group photo. This reporter had never experienced – or even considered – off-roading or specialty vehicles before, but after this trip, we realized that it can be an exciting soft adventure for the whole family and a thrilling way to see the country. Check out the video above for more from the trip.
Brooke Nevils doesn’t merely want her name out there. She also wants her voice heard. Loudly, clearly and very forcefully. Nevils is the NBC producer who issued the complaint in late 2017 that led to Lauer being fired by the network for sexual misconduct . Her identity was kept secret at the time — but she has now revealed both herself and her story to Ronan Farrow as a major part of that reporter’s upcoming book, “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators.” In excepts released from the book this week, Nevils alleges that Lauer raped her at the Sochi Olympics in 2014 . She says the disgraced ex-Today Show host invited Nevils to his hotel room… where he proceeded to throw her on the bed and ignore her pleas NOT to have anal sex. “It was nonconsensual in the sense that I was too drunk to consent,” she tells Farrow in the book. “It was nonconsensual in that I said, multiple times, that I didn’t want to have anal sex.” Brooke Nevils confirms that she did sleep with Lauer a few times after they returned to New York City, labeling their relationship as “transactional.” Nevils went on medical leave in 2018 and was eventually paid “seven figures” by NBC to keep quiet, writes Farrow in his book. But she can’t keep quiet any longer. Not after Lauer responded to this claim via an open letter that Nevils finds abhorrent in its tone and content. Late Wednesday, Nevils released a statement, which aired on NBC Nightly News, that read as follows: “There’s the Matt Lauer that millions of Americans watched on TV every morning for two decades, and there is the Matt Lauer who this morning attempted to bully a former colleague into silence.” Added Nevils of Lauer’s lenthy reply to her accusations: “His open letter was a case study in victim blaming. I am not afraid of him now.” Lauer confessed in his letter to engaging in an extramarital affair with Nevils. He denied all allegations of assault, however, emphasizing how the two carried on a sexual relationship long after this incident in Sochi. “We performed oral sex on each other, we had vaginal sex, and we had anal sex. Each act was mutual and completely consensual,” Lauer wrote, adding: “There was absolutely nothing aggressive about that encounter. Brooke did not do or say anything to object. She certainly did not cry. She was a fully enthusiastic and willing partner. “At no time did she behave in a way that made it appear she was incapable of consent.” Nevils has taken Lauer’s words as an attempt to shame her for her actions… but she refuses to back down. “Regardless of his threats, bullying, and the shaming and predatory tactics I knew he would (and now has) tried to use against me,” Nevils said on Wednesday. Lauer, for his part, stated that Nevils never worked for him in any way at NBC, continuing: “I have never assaulted anyone or forced anyone to have sex. Period.” He then delves into the women with whom he slept while married. “For two years, the women with whom I had extramarital relationships have abandoned shared responsibility, and instead, shielded themselves from blame behind false allegations. “They have avoided having to look a boyfriend, husband, or a child in the eye and say, I cheated . “They have done enormous damage in the process. And I will no longer provide them the shelter of my silence.” Nevils is one of these women, yet she has serious issues with the way Lauer has framed their interactions. And she’s thankful to all who have stood by her side. “I want to thank the many survivors who shared their stories with me today and offered their support. It takes courage, and I am truly grateful,” Nevils Tweeted last night. NBC, meanwhile, which has been accused of covering up Lauer’s heinous misdeeds, issued a statement of its own yesterday. “Matt Lauer’s conduct was appalling, horrific and reprehensible, as we said at the time,” said the network. “That’s why he was fired within 24 hours of us first learning of the complaint. Our hearts break again for our colleague.” It concluded as follows: The first time we learned about Matt Lauer’s sexual misconduct in the workplace was the night of November 27, 2017 and he was fired in 24 hours. Any suggestion that we knew prior to that evening, paid any ‘hush money,’ or tried to cover up any aspect of Lauer’s appalling behavior is absolutely false. NBCU’s legal team has done an exhaustive search of available records and conducted dozens of interviews of past and present staff, and uncovered no claims or settlements relating to allegations of inappropriate conduct by Matt Lauer that pre-date his firing. Only following his termination did we reach agreements with two women who had come forward for the very first time and those women have always been free to share their stories about Lauer with anyone they choose. Source: Ethan Miller / Getty MGM Resorts Settle Nearly $800 Million In Lawsuits From Las Vegas Shooting The Mandalay Bay was the site of the 2017 mass shooting that became the deadliest in modern United States history. 58 people were killed and hundreds of others were injured during a concert that boasted 22,000 in attendance. As a result, the MGM was sued, for a lot of money by multiple people. Today, the AP reported that those lawsuits have been settled by MGM Resorts International to the tune of, wait for it, up to $800 million. Insurance will pay $735 million and the company might kick in more depending on how many people participate. The suits claim that the hotel not only failed to protect concertgoers at the Mandalay Bay, they also failed to keep the shooter from building a stockpile of weapons and ammunition inside his hotel room for days and days. Las Vegas law firm Eglet Adams represents almost 2,500 plaintiffs. “Today’s agreement marks a milestone in the recovery process for the victims of the horrifying events of 1 October,” Robert Eglet, a lead plaintiffs’ counsel, said in the statement. “While nothing will be able to bring back the lives lost or undo the horrors so many suffered on that day, this settlement will provide fair compensation for thousands of victims and their families.” Victims and their families exploded in righteous indignation last year when MGM filed 1,900 lawsuits stating that they had no liability in the shooting under a federal 9/11-related protections bill. Sike. Pay those people their money.
Source: Erika Goldring / Getty Hate her or love her Kash Doll seems to be as transparent as they come. She had admitted to going under the knife. As spotted on Hot New Hip Hop the Detroit performer has made it clear that she has enhanced her body. During a recent interview with VladTV she was asked by Vlad about a tweet she posted in 2015 with the simple caption “plastic surgery”. She says that she has received cosmetic treatments but not to the extent of some of her female Rap peers. “I haven’t got a lot of work done,” she explained. “I don’t do a lot of work. 2015 I probably was thinking about it.” She would go on to detail what exactly got touched up. “I have got work done, I’m not ashamed to say that which is my boobs.” Elsewhere in the Q&A she confirms she was the first female rapper with Doll in her name thus inspiring the likes of Asian Doll, Cuban Doll and Dream Doll. Source: Shareif Ziyadat / Getty “Baaallliiin” was Jim Jones signature phrase in 2006…but that doesn’t seem like it’s really the case these days. According to Bossip , Dipset capo Jim Jones and long-time partner Chrissy Lampkin lost their NJ mansion after The U.S. National Bank Association sued the reality star couple back in 2017 for allegedly failing to pay their mortgage since 2010. According to the complaint, Jones bought the house in 2006 and took out a $680,000 mortgage with a 6.875 percent interest rate. He agreed to make monthly payments of $4,467, but instead, Jones stopped paying it almost ten years ago, defaulting the loan and accelerating the total balance. Apparently, Jim Jones and Chrissy were unable to come up with the cash because the courts issued its final judgment against the couple last week and the property was sold for $100 at an auction. Despite legal woes, Jones has been focused on making music. As previously reported early this year while celebrating his B-Sides Reunion with partner in rhyme Cam’ron and Jay Z , Jones was also celebrating beating a gun case in Georgia just in time for the release of his first major solo project in 10 years and The Heatmakerz collaboration, El Chapo . Staying on track, Jim Jones released a new visual for the lead single, “Make No Issues of It.” Despite being outed as a part of the Nine-Trey Blood Gang by Rap agitator turned federal witness Tekashii 69 , the new video directed by Jimmy and Shula The Don features Jones letting the red flags fly. “I’m in your halls with Taj Mahals and some red caps,” Jones raps donning a crimson jacket. “When we ball, even the feds took pictures of it. And I ain’t here to make no issues of it.” Since the allegations of his involvement in the infamous Blood gang was revealed in court, Jones has yet to confirm or deny the allegations. Last week when the news broke of the audio being played in court, highlighting Jones’s involvement in gang activities; including the targeting of Tekashii 69, Jones responded with an Instagram post in the gym showing he was staying focused. “#Incaseyoudidnt we got busy at another hotel stay focus don’t let them side trac u from ur mission,” Jones wrote. Source: Steven Ferdman / Getty Lizzo’s Postmates Courier Says She’s “Scared For Her Life” Looks like a lawsuit might be on the way for a certain talented twerking rapper. Lizzo is making headlines again in conjunction with that alleged Postmates pilfering that went viral last week. As previously reported the “Truth Hurts” rapper blasted a Postmates deliverer named Tiffany W. who allegedly stole her food order. “This girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more,” wrote Lizzo on Twitter, she also included a screenshot of Tiffany’s face. Now Tiffany’s reached out to TMZ and she’s claiming that her days since then have been the “worst of her life”, adding that she’s “humiliated and terrified.” She’s also adding that she did NOT eat Lizzo’s food in part because it was seafood and she does NOT eat that, but moreover because she tried to deliver the order to no avail at a Boston hotel. “We’re told Tiffany went the extra mile and hit up the hotel concierge,” reports TMZ. “She says she went into the lobby and continued to try to contact the customer and heard nothing back. Tiffany ended up waiting for a total of 10 minutes and finally left.” Lizzo has of course since apologized and Postmates is standing behind Tiffany. I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door. — |L I Z Z O| (@lizzo) September 17, 2019 Do YOU think Tiffany W. is preparing to take legal action against Lizzo?
