But a busy schedule hasn’t diminished Perry’s self-awareness. In a recent interview with the U.K.’s Guardian, the California Gurl talks about her pop-star status, how being with Russell Brand makes her feel smarter, and why you won’t find her getting trashed in your local bar. “I don’t feel like I’m very pop-star lame, but I’m definitely not hipster cool,” the singer said told the newspaper. “I’m somewhere right in the middle of it all.
