One year ago today, Cory Monteith died from a fatal heroin overdose. The actor’s shocking passing caused Glee to delay shooting for a few weeks while colleague mourned, especially girlfriend Lea Michele. She went on to release her first solo album, saying in many interviews that Monteith helped her write many of the tracks and that many were penned with the star in mind.
