Look ma, no helmets! Daft Punk picked up their bags at the airport and alas, they were snapped without their signature headgear. The musical duo, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, usually wear bulky space-age helmets while in public, but the new photos reveal they are, in fact, not robots after all … Daft Punk Without Helmets The French electronic music group has been churning out music since the early ’90s and have covered their faces since early performances. Homem-Cristo told Rolling Stone of the costume choice, “We’re not performers, we’re not models. It would not be enjoyable for humanity to see our features, but the robots are exciting to people.” Daft Punk rocked the Grammys , where they performed live and picked up the coveted award of Album of the Year for Random Access Memories.
