Dwight Howard Diagnosed with Torn Labrum, Out Indefinitely

Already at 15-18 and not included in the Western Conference playoff picture, things are about to get even bleaker for the Los Angeles Lakers. Marc Stein has confirmed via Twitter that Dwight Howard has a torn labrum and will miss a significant period of time. The Lakers, of course, acquired Howard in a blockbuster trade this offseason, but he’s struggled to find his place following back surgery a few months ago. The center is averaging 17.3 points per game, along with 12.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks. But he has often clashed with Kobe Bryant and Los Angeles is the most disappointing team in the league. Elsewhere, Pau Gasol has been diagnosed with a concussion and is also out indefinitely. But, hey, Los Angeles: At least the Clippers are awesome!
