Popeye 3D Movie Soon to be on Big Screen

The ever famous cartoon character Popeye the Sailor with soon to be hitting the big screen in 3D. The middle-aged sailor who has been known for his big biceps and his addiction to spinach first appeared in the Thimble Theatre comic strip in 1929. He is also known for his unique way of speaking that only Popeye can do. Another signature symbol of Popeye is his 2 anchor tattoo in his muscular arms and the ever-famous corncob pipe. The character was created by Elzie Crisler Segar. As of the moment, there is no date of release yet for the 3D movie. The last Popeye movie was released in 1980 starring Robin Williams. In the upcoming 3D animation, Olive Oyl, Popeye’s long-time girlfriend would also be appearing as well as his nemesis Bluto. This 3D animated would sure be anticipated by all. Hannah Minghella, from Sony Pictures Animation, said Popeye was “one of the most enduring and iconic cartoon characters of all time”.
