What is happening to the movie industry? Even by TV movie standards, Sharknado was just awful, but it was lapped up by the public like hungry kittens at a bowl of milk. Now? Well now we’ve moved on from the ocean and into the beautiful forest filled with all the cute woodland creatures… who want to eat you. Squirrels Pre-Sale Trailer From Timur Bekmambetov, the man who brought us Wanted and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter , comes a film that looks to be so ridiculous, one takes note of the date to make sure it isn’t April Fool’s Day. Written by Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin, the story is about an “army of flesh-eating squirrels hellbent on destroying everything in their path due to an erosion of their food chain” all thanks to a gas company that is buying up the town. Thankfully this trailer is only a pre-sales one which means nothing has been purchased as of yet. It’s hard to believe that someone will bring this project to life but then again, I probably would have said the same for Sharknado and look where that is now. In a world in which a Sharknado sequel is a real thing, I suppose there is room for Squirrels .
