Paris Jackson "In a Good Place," Getting "Help She Needs," Katherine Jackson Says

Katherine Jackson says that her ailing granddaughter Paris Jackson, who tried to take her own life earlier this year, is getting the help she needs. Things have taken a turn for the better, as well. “She is in a good place,” the 83-year-old said. Katherine Jackson Speaks on Paris Jackson Paris Jackson , 15, has been under doctors’ care since June 5, which her uncle, Randy Jackson, recently described on Twitter as “much too long.” That led to a rebuke by her mom, Debbie Rowe . But Katherine Jackson, the teen’s legal guardian, maintained that Paris is “doing much better” and her treatment is “going good, really good.” “All I wanted these kids to be is happy. The night [Michael Jackson] died Paris was crying and said ‘I want to go and see Daddy, I don’t want to be without him.'” “She’s my baby. It’s hard for me, really hard.” “They were sheltered a lot when Michael raised them ,” Katherine said. “I had thought about it and I said ‘I am not going to raise them like that.” “But Michael had a good reason.” “He was trying to protect them. He instilled good manners but it’s a different generation, of course, and I don’t understand the whole social media thing.” “They are always on their phones.” Before her hospitalization, Paris was an active presence on Twitter. She even had her biological mother, Debbie, tweet on her behalf last month: “My daughter has asked that I extend a huge thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers and support,” Rowe wrote. “She is strong like her father.” Here’s wishing all of them only the best.
