A Poltergeist remake ? It’s heeeere! Okay, well it’s not here yet. But it’s coming. And who could resist that reference? MGM and 20th Century Fox are teaming up to produce and distribute a remake of the classic horror film, which will begin shooting this fall. Gil Kenan will direct the film, with David Lindsay-Abaire, who wrote Oz the Great and Powerful, providing the script. The film will reportedly be a “revisionist take on the classic horror film.” It will follow a struggling family that moves into a new home, where their daughter is taken by an evil spirit.
