After getting underway Monday, The Voice battle round continued last night with an epic vocal throwdown – and steal showdown involving the loser. Blake Shelton paired Caroline Glaser, 18, and Danielle Bradbery, 16, together for a rendition of “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae. In doing so, he virtually assured neither would go home. Caroline Glaser vs. Danielle Bradbery – The Voice Battle Round Blake ultimately picked Bradbery, telling the youngster as only he can, “I don’t know what your parents are feeding you, but I want a big loaf of that.” “Your natural singing ability really blows my mind.” But there was no sad ending for Glaser, as both Levine and Usher almost immediately hit their buttons for the steal and begged for her services. “I wasn’t prepared for this,” said a clearly overwhelmed Glaser, who eventually chose Adam. Levine had his own battle to mediate Tuesday as well. The night kicked off with a country showdown between sheriff Michael Austin and firefighter Warren Stone, who sang “My Kinda Party” by Jason Aldean: Michael Austin vs. Warren Stone – The Voice Battle Round Warren won “because of the diversity” in his voice. Usher proved he takes his gig seriously when he showed some tough love to Jeff Lewis and Josiah Hawley, who sang “Roxanne” by The Police. Jeff Lewis vs. Josiah Hawley – The Voice Battle Round Usher eventually chose Josiah. In other battles: Blake chose Grace Askew over Trevor Davis, Usher selected Audrey Karrasch over Jamila Thompson, and Shakira chose to Tawnya Reynolds over Mark Andrew.
