Grammy-award winning singer Michelle Williams and style icon Angela Simmons hit up events at the Women of the World Festival at the Apollo Theater this weekend. Michelle ran a panel about the music industry and the female image, while Angela spoke to high school students about self image and The Media. Joined by Elle Varner and Beyonce’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure, Angela and Michelle spoke openly on each panel. Both discussions were part of a larger festival featuring performances, talks, mentoring sessions, music, film and debates that celebrate the talents of women and girls from all walks of life and all parts of the world.
