Today at around 3:30pm, earthquakes were felt in California and Mexico with a reported magnitude of 6.9. The shaking was felt in San Diego, and up to Los Angeles. And then series of earthquakes happened over the next hours. The earthquake in Calexico and Baja Mexicali, Mexico was reported to be 7.2 magnitude. There are still no reports of significant fatality but there is already one dead in Mexico, a man whose house crumbled during the quake. Also there are significant effect on buildings and infrastructures most specifically those that were built in early 1900-1940. In Mexico, the power went out an an effect of the earthquakes. There had been a lot of earthquakes that happened since January 2010, the most memorable of which is the Haiti earthquake. Let’s pray the world won’t have to suffer any loss again due to these calamities.
