A$AP Yams’ Cause Of Death Revealed ASAP Yams, credited as the founder of ASAP Rocky’s ASAP Mob, died unexpectedly on January 18 . Details were initially skimpy in the days following his passing, though many suspected that an overdose was the reason. The Chief Medical Examiner was finally able to release the cause of death on March 19. Sadly, despite impassioned denials from fans and members of the A$AP Mob, the 26-year-old’s tragic and sudden death was indeed related to a fatal mix of drugs.
