While many people vowed to boycott the retailer along with any others who felt the mocking of transgender people was okay, it doesn’t seem like those who boycotted were all that effective. According to Forbes , major retailer, Spirit Halloween announced that the Caitlyn Jenner costume is actually amongst the 4 top selling looks for adults. After receiving backlash the company did release a statement calling the Olympic champion “the most important real-life superhero of the year.” Hmmm, with this wide of success we sure do hope she’s collecting her coins for them using her image!
