In 2003, an eleventh-grade student named Nikki Simmons asked her favorite talk show host, Conan O’B rien, to be her junior prom date. While Coco, who was still hosting his Late Night show in New York City at the time, could not make it to to the Rust Belt for the event, he did send her a letter politely declining the invitation.
