Aye Bobbi Kris, you mad? Yaya Dacosta Set To Play Whitney Houston In Lifetime Biopic Via ESSENCE Yaya DaCosta has been cast to play Whitney Houston in the upcoming Lifetime biopic, reports TV Line. The TV movie, directed by Angela Basset will chronicle Houston’s relationship with Bobby Brown during her rise to superstardom. This will be DaCosta’s return to the small screen having appeared on America’s Next Top Model, All My Children, Ugly Betty, House and most recently Lee Daniels’ The Butler. The Whitney Houston biopic has recently come under fire from the late singer’s family who believe that she deserves more than a TV film. The biopic is slated for a 2015 release date.
