Don’t get it twisted… GQ Magazine Denies Crowning Kim Kardashian West “Woman Of The Year” It’s a rare day that a magazine denounces their own cover girl in any nation’s iteration of the publication. But GQ is slowly tiptoeing away from Kimmy’s caked-out nude spread in their British issue’s October Men Of The Year Issue. The woman gracing the cover of the annual issue is largely assumed to be the “Woman of the Year” according to the magazine…but the US edition of the men’s pub made sure to let you all know that is NOT the case when it comes to Kim through a series of tweets blasted out on Monday afternoon. Via RadarOnline : Although they have a similar name, GQ US is letting the world know that it is different from British GQ. The latter publication recently named Kim Kardashian “Woman of the Year,” but the U.S. version did not agree with that decision! American GQ has been on the Twitter defensive all day Monday responding to people’s angry tweets about the reality star’s award. Twitter users have been causing a storm as of late, calling Kim’s award a “mistake” and an “error.” User @travi44 even described it as “an error in judgment” while @stevecook_32 tweeted, “I held y’all to a higher standard that’s all. Woman of the year!? For what?” But instead of ignoring the influx of hateful comments, GQ US has responded to the outcry in a way that shows it wants nothing to do with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s award. Peep the tweets: Ouch. We seriously doubt that Kim’s husband, who was JUST on American GQ’s cover a couple months back, is going to appreciate this too much…
