The Orange County Florida Sheriff’s Department had released a report on February 25 which revealed Tilikum, a killer whale, attacked Brancheau, a veteran who had been working with whales for 16 years. Tilikum pulled the trainer into the pool. Dawn Brancheau was fatally attacked on February 24 by Tilikum,a killer whale, at Sea World Orlando. A final autopsy was released on Wednesday revealing that the trainer died as the result of drowning and traumatic injuries, together with a torn scalp and arm. She suffered multiple fractures to her back, ribs, legs, arms and face. The killer whale removed her left arm and part of her scalp. The autopsy report also revealed that her spinal cord was injured and her body was covered in cuts and bruises.
