Kim Kardashian Kan’t Keep Kuiet About Fashion Nova Knock-Offs–But Is She Lying About Not Working With Them?

Source: Gotham / Getty Kim Kardashian Can’t “Sit Silent” About Fast Fashion Knock-Offs Rumors about the relationship between Kim Kardashian and Fashion Nova/other fast fashion brands have been more abundant than usual lately. These companies knocking off the KarJenners and their expensive looks is definitely nothing new, but these practices were highlighted even more so two weeks ago, when Kim posted a photo of her in a fitting, sporting a dress that she never ended up actually wearing outside.  In her caption she wrote, “P.S. fast fashion brands, can you please wait until I wear this in real life before you knock it off?” But of course, they didn’t wait until Kim wore the dress in real life, and within hours, both Fashion Nova and Missguided had similar gold gowns available for purchase on their site. The jokes about Fashion Nova knocking off Kim’s outfit were all over Twitter within minutes and in a few hours, a similar dress was available for sale on Fashion Nova’s website. #Mugler pic.twitter.com/vj65wr20d7 — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 18, 2019 View this post on Instagram Don’t Worry, We Got You Covered Search: “Winning Beauty Cut Out Gown” Search: “The Glass Slipper Heel” www.FashionNova.com A post shared by FashionNova.com (@fashionnova) on Feb 18, 2019 at 5:46pm PST This latest knock-off had a lot of people thinking that Kim and Fashion Nova have some sort of arrangement, especially once Yodit Yemane–the model in nearly every FN photo–leaked some information on her Instagram story. As Diet Prada points out, Yemane’s video shows a series of pictures from her photoshoot in the latest Kim copycat dress. Not only are the files labeled “Kim Dress,” but the date of the photo session reads “02-14-19, “which is 4 days before Kim was pictured wearing the dress. View this post on Instagram UPDATE: See stories for a screenshot of the date of the Capture One session (it’s labeled 02-14-19). Fashion Nova Mugler knockoff shot 4 days before Kim wore it on 02/18/19. Kim, you’ll never fess up to your sneaky lil collaborations, but we got all the receipts . • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At some point recently, a fast fashion photo shoot happened featuring a vintage Mugler dress that @kimkardashian just happened to wear on Sunday night to the Hollywood Beauty Awards…and yes, it appears to be a real dress, not photoshop. Ahead of Fashion Nova releasing the dress at 9pm EST tonight, house model Yodit Yemane may or may not have accidentally leaked a story 2.5 hours earlier of photo options from her shoot featuring the Mugler replica. The file names were even labeled “Kim dress” while it’s now being called “Winning Beauty Cut Out Gown” lol. This begs the question: Did Fashion Nova whip up the dress overnight in their Los Angeles atelier after seeing Kim in it or is she peddling her vintage finds to mass retailers ahead of debuting them for a calculated, timely release? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • : Getty • #kimkardashian #mugler #thierrymugler #manfredthierrymugler #bodycon #cutout #barelythere #strappy #straps #black #vintage #dress #velvet #fashionnova #wiwt #ootd #kuwtk #hollywood #beauty #kkwbeauty #kardashian #ecommerce #shady #smh #photoshoot #model #fashionmodel #dietprada A post shared by Diet Prada (@diet_prada) on Feb 18, 2019 at 6:54pm PST This accidental(?) leak drove speculation into overdrive, and Kim clearly noticed just how many people were accusing her of having a secret deal with Fashion Nova–so she took to Twitter to deny everything. It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas. — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 19, 2019 I’ve watched these companies profit off my husband’s work for years and now that it’s also affecting designers who have been so generous to give me access to their beautiful works, I can no longer sit silent. — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 19, 2019 Only two days ago, I was privileged enough to wear a one-of-a-kind vintage Mugler dress and in less than 24 hours it was knocked off and thrown up on a site – but it's not for sale. You have to sign up for a waitlist because the dress hasn’t even been made to sell yet. — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 19, 2019 This is a way to get people to sign up for their mailing list and make people believe there is some kind of relationship between me and this fashion site. There is not. — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 19, 2019 My relationships with designers are very important to me. It's taken me over a decade to build them and I have a huge amount of respect for the amount of work that they put into bringing their ideas to life. — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 19, 2019 I often plan for weeks, sometimes months, and even a year in advance, and I’m grateful for every fashion moment those designers and their dresses have helped me create. — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 19, 2019 So, as always, don’t believe everything you read and see online. I don’t have any relationships with these sites. I’m not leaking my looks to anyone, and I don’t support what these companies are doing. — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) February 19, 2019 Fashion Nova even went on to make a statement themselves (because you know Kris Jenner called and demanded it) clarifying to customers that they have never directly worked with Kim on any of her projects. View this post on Instagram A post shared by FashionNova.com (@fashionnova) on Feb 19, 2019 at 10:27am PST   So, take it from Fashion Nova and Kim–they don’t have a deal with one another…unless they’re just covering it up to save Kim K’s relationships with these high-end designers. If these two really don’t communicate behind the scenes, how would they explain the photos dated days before Kim wore the dress? Was this “leak” intentional on Fashion Nova’s part to get people talking? For some more information about Kim’s possible shady Fashion Nova dealings, check out this video here . Do you think they’re actually working together, or is Fashion Nova just doing Kim dirty?!
