According to reports, Taiwan was hit by a 6.5magnitude earthquake. Many buildings and houses are feared to be damaged or destroyed. This 6.5 magnitude is already considered a very high intensity quake. Reports also show that there were many casualties. After the quake there was fear of tsunami. As of now, there has no official issue for tsunami warning. According to the US geological survey (USGS), the earthquake shook Taiwan on Monday. It was recorded at 10:59am local time. It’s origin was 259km off southern Taiwan city of Taitung. As of now, meteorological department is constantly monitoring the sea level movement.
