Officials said several reports of the meteorite were received encompassing a large geographical area spanning from northern Missouri into Illinois and Wisconsin. Officials from the National Weather Service in Chicago said the flash of light seen in the sky between 10:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday was a meteor that fell to Earth.
