Queen Latifah and country music icon Dolly Parton get their praise on in the upcoming comedy Joyful Noise, which was shot in Atlanta. Latifah plays Vi Rose, whose traditional style of choir directing, rubs rival G.G. Sparrow (Parton) the wrong way. Shaking things up even more is the arrival of G.G.’s rebellious grandson Randy (Jeremy Jordan), who has his eye on Vi Rose’s daughter, the beautiful and talented Olivia (Keke Palmer).
