People nowadays, most especially in developed countries has been relying on online shopping using the ‘plastic’ or cards. These cards may be credit cards or debit cards. It gives a shopping person the convenience of just staying at home and waiting for the product to be delivered on their doorsteps. One of the major names in industry, is the credit and debit card processor Visa. Visa Inc. has announced Wednesday that to further broaden their scope in fulfilling customer’s online shopping, they would be buying the online processor CyberSource. The price would be $26 per share and that would be around $2 billion dollars. CyBerSource’s known clients include British Airways, Home Depot, Facebook and Google. These are just few big name among their 295,000 merchant clients. The deal between them allows Visa to increase the amount of online payments it processes and the resulting business for its client banks, which issue Visa credit and debit cards. “CyberSource’s key market opportunities are international, specifically Asia and Latin America.
