Source: Nina Marsiglio / EyeEm / Getty Famous Atlanta Strip Club Follies Sues City Of Chamblee If you’re a fan of Atlanta strip club, specifically Follies , and you haven’t fully realized the imporatance of your participation in the political process, then hopefully this story will provide further motivation to exercise your civil rights. According to the AJC , the city of Chamblee, a suburb of Atlanta, is being sued in federal court by Follies for their adoption of city ordinances that are designed to target their business. In addition to the ban on lap dances and restrictive hours, the new law requires dancers to be partially clothed and bans customers from consuming alcohol at the club. At the same meeting, the city modified its liquor laws to ban strip clubs from having a liquor license, effective in January. These types of restrictions exist in several other cities across America, but anyone who has been to strip clubs in Atlanta knows that banning lap dances, covering the dancers, and removing alcohol from the club is a death nail. Ain’t nobody paying to watch women dance in bikinis. That’s all over Instagram. The city argues that the strip club is a pillar of immorality and breed criminal activity.
