After putting down roots in Los Angeles last year, the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will return to the City of Angels on August 28 for the 28th annual celebration. The show will air live from the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live venue at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). “We are thrilled to return to Los Angeles where the energy of the city will help power the creative spirit of the 28th annual VMAs,” said Stephen Friedman, president of MTV in a statement.
