Fabolous and Soulja Boy End Twitter Back-And-Forth

Loso set off the ‘Pretty Boy Swag’ MC when he aimed one of his signature trending topics at Soulja. By Shaheem Reid Fabolous Photo: Jerritt Clark/ WireImage Few words were ever truer: Young Jeezy told MTV News a few weeks ago that, Twitter is a mofo — and he doesn’t even tweet! Sure, the hip-hop community gets to read highly entertaining blasts by the likes of Lil B, Slim Thug, Rick Ross, Fabolous and, of course, 50 Cent and Kanye West. And Fabolous, in particular, has become known for his now-signature comical trending topics. But when Loso struck again in the last week, Soulja Boy didn’t find it so funny. The man behind the page @souljaboy caught wind of a freestyle Fab dropped last week during a visit to Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex. One of Fab’s punchlines referenced a much-talked about piece of Internet video in which famed hip-hop groupie Kat Stacks taped herself in a hotel room she claimed was Soulja Boy’s. On a table in the room was white powder she alleged was cocaine belonging to the young MC. Soulja Boy denied those claims. Fab however, jokingly referenced the video in his freestyle and on Monday, Soulja Boy started a 48-hour-long tweet tirade. “ON GOD NEXT TIME I SEE YOU BOY UMMA FOLD YOU I HOPE YOU READY LIL BOY @myfabolouslife,” Soulja wrote. Later, among a multitude of other tweets, Soulja taunted, “I tell you what Fabolous. Get yo weak ass on wax and spit them weak ass bars so I can sh– on you boy.” Fab brushed it off with more comedy, starting his own Soulja Boy trending topic: “#SouljasCokeHabit.” “#SouljasCokeHabit made him believe those Gucci pillow cases he had on his bed on MTV CRIBS was REAL,” Fab retorted Tuesday night on his page, @myfabolouslife. “Gucci Mane & Jeezy are not @SouljaBoy’s friend.. They are #SouljasCokeHabit ATL connects,” he continued. But don’t look for this to turn into a saga. Fans should definitely refrain from interpreting the situation as real beef. Although the two MCs may argue that the other crossed the line, there was never any danger of the back and forth coming to blows. In fact, MTV News’ sources told us that both Fabolous and Soulja have mutually decided to end this written quarrel and continue to focus on making the music their fans love.
