West easily topped MTV’s Twitter Tracker , generating more than 4,300 tweets a minute and making it clear his appearance was one of the biggest moments of the night. Even after the awards show ended, the Nokia Theatre crowd could be heard chanting West’s name. Gabezacchaeus tweeted, “thank you @kanyewest for making a song about me,” referencing West’s ode to all the jerks in the world. “Kanye West = genius,” JagneShaw added. Jay_West_FSG tweeted, “I toast my fellow a–holes in the name of Kanye West,” and JayClarkSOD kept it simple with “Kanye west is da sh– #thatisall.” West took to his own Twitter account at noon on Sunday (September 12), writing, “I wish my Mom was here but I know she’s looking down. I want to make her so happy today.” Mj_obsessed_xo responded to that post after Kanye’s performance, tweeting, “You have my heart again .
