Ewwwwwwww NYC Cronut Bakery Closed Due To Mouse Infestation via ABC News Health officials say they’ve closed a New York City bakery famous for serving up delicious croissant-doughnut hybrid treats called Cronuts because of a “severe mouse infestation.” A Department of Health spokeswoman says the Dominique Ansel Bakery in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood was shut down Friday. She says the rodent problem requires professional pest control but the bakery can reopen after inspectors determine the problem is fixed. A spokeswoman for French chef Dominique Ansel’s establishment tells WNBC-TV she hopes to reopen Monday after another examination. Cronuts have become a food craze in New York. Lines at Ansel’s tiny eatery often start forming at dawn, hours before it opens. Reopening??? Yeah, we’ll pass .
