Around 100 people attended a candlelight vigil and call to action Saturday evening to lend support to the family of Asheley Jewell, who as we previously reported was shot March 5 in an apparent road rage incident on Old National Highway. Jewell, a passenger in the car, remains in critical condition. Supporters at the rally vowed to distribute fliers saying “Justice for Asheley Jewell” and “Who shot Asheley?” Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. The family has also set up a Facebook page, “Justice for Asheley Jewell.” Jewell is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J. Jewell, who died in 2009 after a fight outside the Body Tap strip club. Read more at the AJC.com.
