Epic Twitter Fail! Grand Ole Opry Accidentally Tweets Racist Hashtag!

We’re told this was an accident… but the Grand Ole Opry sent out a tweet to welcome Darius Rucker (you know…the former Hootie and The Blowfish singer turned Country Music Star), and they ended up looking pretty racist after you took a second look at the tweet. Somehow the Ole Opry’s PR peeps forgot there’s a 140 character rule on twitter and their #OpryNights got cut off. They basically ended up looking wrong and racial: LLS…whoops! We’d like to think this was all an accident but either way, they look like some good ole boys who love God’s country! Images via twitter/WENN

An interesting thing about The Event is that sometimes the arc of the episode contributes so little to the overall plot that we might consider it a sort of hybrid-procedural-conspiracy show. “For the Good of the Country” was one of those cases. We basically ended up right where we left off: Still scratching our heads, trying to figure out how it got a full-season order. Regardless, let’s pull back another layer of this ramshackle conspiracy.
