Monday night on his Symphonica tour in Prague, George Michael gave fans a rendition of Amy Winehouse’s “Love is a Losing Game,” then gave them a piece of very personal information – he and longtime partner Kevin Goss broke up. “It’s time to be honest,” he said . “My love life has has been more turbulent than I’ve let on. This man has brought me a lot of joy and a lot of pain.” Michael then dedicated “Where I Hope You Are” to Goss. George Michael – Love is a Losing Game As for Winehouse, it’s no secret that George Michael was (and still is) a huge fan of the young star who passed away last month. He said: “Amy was, in my opinion, the most soulful vocalist [we have] ever seen.” George urged Amy’s label to re-release “Love is a Losing Game” in the wake of her passing, as it is “the way she should be remembered,” and “as one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time, I hope she is at peace now.” His cover of the moving track (above) can only help that cause. R.I.P. Amy. NOTE : Check out our gallery of Amy Winehouse pictures (1983-2011).
