Bridget Marquardt is in no rush to have children. But the former back-up girlfriend to Hugh Hefner has taken out what she refers to as an “insurance policy,” just in case: the 37-year old froze her eggs three years ago. “It wasn’t that easy,” she told Us Weekly . “It’s a lot of medication, a lot of hormones. You have to inject yourself in the stomach and I’m so terrified of needles! It was a difficult thing for me to do.” So, why do it? Because Bridget was living with Hefner at the time, but not allowed to date anyone else. With Holly Madison and Hef as “the main relationship,” Marquardt just wanted the option later in life. “I don’t feel that clock ticking,” says the model, who is dating Nicholas Carpenter . “I’m not really worried about it.
