Abby Sunderland, the 16 year old girl from California who was attempting to circumnavigate the globe and who was feared lost at sea has been in contact with Australian authorities. A french fishing vessel is on their way to Abby's boat, Wild Eyes, and plan on bringing her to shore. According to her parents, she sent out distress signals after she suffered high tides. Her boat is still in tact and her rigging is down, but she is alive and awaiting the rescue boat. added by: jenrich
