Octogenarian Graduates From College In Georgia For those of you out there feeling a type of way about your college degree or lack thereof, here’s a silver-haired lining. According to the AJC, an 88-year-old man named Rev. Horace Sheffield just graduated from Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Studies. Sheffield’s granddaughter said that in the wake of his wife’s death, Horace kept the family together despite the loss of their matriarch. “He is my family’s rock,” Brazier said. “I know my granny is smiling down on him right now saying, ‘I knew you could do it Horace!’” Horace is 88 with a degree, you won’t even get off the couch to go jog 2 miles.
